Shame I no longer have any coins. Had to flog Varane and Kante to fund the changes. The hope is that Upa comes closer to Varane with his next upgrade. I’ll not miss Kante’s passing, but Ripart lacks the defensive ability to rival him.

You just need to be boring/sheep enough to listen to all the YouTubers who tell you these players are the best and no others will do.  FIFA players are always obsessed with pace, but this version isn't as needy as the last couple.  I'd never got away with Thiago in midfield last year.

Fellaini objective friendly is funny. It’s really cathartic to be able to just scythe an opponent down without reprimand. The worry is I’ll carry it on after finishing the friendlies!

So I’m rocking two accounts on the regular. Both Div 2. 
 

i decided to make a few upgrades to my second account today. I was using a team worth around 80k until last week but I’ve went with this. 4231 narrow in game.
 

My main account has a better team but funnily enough no higher division and no better record (actually a little worse record).

Managed to get my seven wins for the rivals reward boost, Div 2 is much more challenging than 3 was. Have EA said where we’ll reset to when the season ends? 
 

I’ve still got Arnautovic up top in my team, 72 goals in 59 games is a pleasing return, even if I have lost 46k on him it’s been worth it.

i used gold Vinny from div 10 to div 3, and he is still my super sub. Militao also.

I’ve been using 83 TOTW Vinicius (untradeable) as an impact sub, he’s so good to use against tiring defenders. Same with IF Diaz from Porto, I’ve have him since week 1 and is still really good.

I wasn't wrong about there being some bargains around last night in the panic. I managed to snag a base icon for 520k who's now already back to 630k.

 

I also got an untradeble pack through some objective, and after opening it found myself staring at an untradable Varane. 😁

I went on my best run of games in 22 last night with 6 wins on the bounce moving me from Division 6 up to Division 4 last night so need just 1 win now for a healthy reward drop.

 

I didn’t change anything after selling Kessie and now Valverde is making it very difficult for me to change him at CDM as he has been fucking incredible for me. Likely going to just sit on the coins for the time being and wait for a cars I really want to appear. Maybe save for another icon 🙂

I'm saving for Messi now, I'm sat on about 200k already, and I'd be selling Rodrygo so I'm nearly there on that front. The only issue is I'd need to get Veratti to make it work, and that's another 120k to get him.

Managed to do him with mostly players from my club, nice cheap POTM. 99 jumping and heading will be handy for corners but I still haven’t got the hang of crossing from open play.

I'll be interested to hear how he is on corners as I think height is the most important thing. Gomez is comically good from them, it feels like cheating.

Here's the game that's just seen me promoted to Division 3 using that squad.

 

 

 

Rooney is... A bit of an enigma to be honest. He is ALWAYS open, his physicality is as good as the big guys I've tried, he can pass really well for a ST, but his M/M workrates make him seem... disinterested? 

 

He's certainly helped me win the 5/6 games I've played with this team (5goals and 3assists for Wayne), but I'd struggle to say he has won me any of them on his own.

 

Overall: Excellent card, but not worth six-hundred fahsand nicker.

Its a real shame FIFA doesn't have some kind of lite version of the Form section for players that Football Manager has. I would love to keep track of how players perform and how big a difference they make over a series of games. I expect Vinicus Jr (TOTW 83) would make interesting reading where he goes from a run of three 6.6 ratings to a couple of hat-tricks.

He’s fine if you need a french LM given the alternatives. In Coman’s last match for me, he scored from a cross. That tells you all you need to know about his accuracy.

 

Looking at your match stats, you’re likely to need to increase your pass accuracy to get much higher.

He just doesn't do what his stats say he can do. Wayward passing, clunky dribbling, constantly crossing into the keeper... I don't use him differently to other Wingers/wide CAMs, but when a good chance is squandered due to a bad pass or a simple cross failing, it's usually him.

That is something I notice - the amount I give the ball away due to the game passing to a player I wasn't intending.
