There seem to be a lot of people online who think Rick is an awesome, cool guy they should try to act like. I feel like the show paints him pretty clearly as miserable but there’s a fair few fans who seem to think acting like him is aspirational

It’ll either pay off eventually or end up being Harmon dealing with demons and coming out healthier on the other side, leaving a lot of people behind.

Yeah, I made that same comparison while I was watching it. I'm finding the structure of episodes this seasons feels off somehow. More traditionally paced rather than the usual frenetic madness.

I like Rick & Morty but I wouldn’t want to be associated with stereotypical Rick n Morty fans. I’ve enjoyed 2 of the episodes so far maybe 3? Planetina and the time wine portal sub plot of the Sea man episode. They were good and the John Oliver one was ok. Didn’t like the clone one or the sperm one.
