RLLMUK's FAVOURITE ALBUMS OF 2013 - RESULTS!

We have got a surprisingly mainstream list this year (at least based on the way I've usually never actually heard anything from the top ten and never even heard of most of them, but this year I own six and am at least familiar with the other four!).

Agreed, but I think it says more about this year's music rather than rllmuk. I've been putting together spotify playlists of all the end of year album lists that I care about and the majority have been pretty consistent. At least 6 artists in our top 10 are what I would call mainstream and 3 of the others are established acts.

Yeah, I haven't even checked out any new music at all this year, same for last year - these let me know what I've missed out on.

Thanks as always ngchol for putting this together. I always like the rllmuk album list because although the top 10 might not be anything out of the ordinary, there is a great variety to the list as a whole (to get 220-odd different albums bears this out). Thanks all.

Definitely - I've found some amazing music each year within the top 50. My first discovery from this chart is the John Grant album which would definitely have been in my top 10 had I heard it previously. (I'll fix the position of Yeezus this evening, promise!)

I was listening to pale green ghosts today, very good album. John does like his fuck though. Almost every song it seems.

I completely forgot to vote. Again. But from a quick search, 3 of my top 10 aren't on there so:

Nils Frahm - Spaces

Sin Fang - Flowers

Public Service Broadcasting - Inform - Educate - Entertain

All of which are Jolly Good. Daft Punk would have been top, Arctic Monkeys, !!! and David Bowie would have been in there somewhere.

Ta to ngchol for the list, I'll be having a good wander through it at some point.
