Well considering you had first pick in the draft (in fact picks 1 and 5 to my 4 and 8), more players, better pro's and dogsout who I brought into the league I am quite pleased we gave you a game in that first one :P

If we are having predictions on the league title then its basically yours, well played :)

Good game chaps. That second game was a steam rolling, I was finding holes all over their backline but our defence was epic. Had it not been for bunching up abit too much and missed chances, it could have comfortably been 6+.

Also, Dogsout was epic. I saved both my goals but put all the focus of the camera on that Maradona run before his cross. Insane.

Just a note, let's double check everybody gets in next week before we kick off, me and Mardigan dropped in the arena load but everyone left the party too.

we had to leave the party as no room for mardigan, was gutted that we lost you both, I'm certain we would have got 6 points. I'm not experienced in PS4 parties, assume they are limited to 8?

Second game, it felt so well balanced, defence was solid, wingers epic, jamin pulling the stings and the strikers scoring.

Jamin's goal in the first game, wow.

Kev's run in the second!!

SO many great points.

Played lads!

Yeah deffo. If there's 8 of us we should party up & if someone hasn't got in we'll claim our 1 restart.

Well played, game 2 was like chalk & cheese compared to game 1. Massive difference upfront & in defence with smith & Mardigan respectively. Even so a point in game 1 when we'd lost folk & not turned up 2nd half was decent.

3 clean sheets in 4 games! Onwards.

4 games into the season before I get any action, haha, ridiculous. Was worth the wait though as everything felt very solid and composed in game 2 their and great getting back into BAP after so long. Scoring plenty and keeping clean sheets is a great sign lads so let's keep it going and stay focussed in every game.

Kev that run for the goal in game 2 was mental. It was like you were using one of those balls you get to help practice keepy ups which has the ankle strap. Wonderful stuff!!

After Mardigan didn't make it for game 1 it was the usual nightmare of being sandwiched between the AI CB & LB but Jamin did an admirable job to keep them in check.

What a difference with almost a full back 4 though, a few scary moments but all in all was did well at the back.

As for the guys up top

A couple of fun games after too, lobbed headers rule ;)

Ignoring Tobert's whinging. Well played in the second game.

Out of interest what stadium do you use...the view was perfect for tele cam so keen to know and would suggest if possible that it becomes a standard for BAP.

Good games lads, but we still look to cross it far too much, and in the 4-2-3-1 formation im completely wasted up top, the 4-1-2-1-2 worked much better for us, but I think a 4-3-3 could work well also, we need to keep the ball on the deck and play more 1-2's around the edge of the box, Me, Kev, Jamin and Smithy are all decent at that and we score goals from it.

Yes Gooner, but that then leaves the defence exposed and overworked which you need to consider rather than worrying about your amazing talents getting wasted. You played an important part in 2 solid results last night as did everyone in the squad so let's focus on building on the great start we have made.

I dunno, I thought we mixed it up pretty well last night. We did try and go through the middle, but FIFA 14 in Clubs I find is all about stretching the defence and getting in behind the full backs. We scored like 3 goals in game two by dogsout doing just that and supplying a cross. Crosses can be well delivered on someones head in practice, as we showed last night.

Agreed the 4-4-2 diamond worked better though, think we should roll with that unless we come unstuck. Pressure on the CDM, but Hannay was beasting it there whilst dogsout and Winch helped out the full backs really well too.

I think we would've gotten two wins if it weren't for the dropouts in game one, they cost us our defensive solidity and a lot of our attacking intent.

I think the key to crosses is just anticipation and the quality of the delivery. It's a lot less about size and more focus on positioning.

Plenty of excellent balls through last night though, I find that in Clubs we tend to fall into bad habits but last night in game two, the play was spot on.

You appear to have forgotten to mention the guy with the most assists in the entire league so far this season, double the number of the next highest guy.

Meh! ;)

Il happily go up front and header all day if Gooner wants to play RB ;)

I think the second formation worked well for one main reason, both the LM and RM defended and attacked really well. I was constantly thinking I was out of position as our RM was defending deep when we needed to, and it worked a treat. Crosses are OP in FIFA 14, so why not use them. Far more positives than negatives to them.

Well said Mardigan, we were very solid all over in that second game.

I'm not being big headed, my rating in the first game proves the 4-2-3-1 leaves me isolated, and just because I didn't make the final pass, I had a hand in both of our goals in that game, but still got a rating below a 6, whether it's me or somebody else up top we don't suit that formation, I wasn't saying I was wasted because i'm amazing, even if I am.

Maradona? I'll take that!

Great games, everyone. Really enjoyed that second one in particular. Maybe one day my child will be asleep when we're playing and I can actually communicate with you all properly.

It's obviously easy to say this after a 4-0 win but I thought we'd really found our balance in the second game. If I can get this guy's stamina up a bit so that his leg doesn't blow up at the end of each game that'd be great!

The main reason ratings are tracked is obviously bragging right but that also, at the end of the season, all the data is crunched and every player is given a price in £. Managers only have so much £ to spend on renewing contracts and signing players at the start of each season.

Put basically, if we romp to the league title winning every game 5-0, all our team will be ridiculously expensive and Hannay would probably only be able to afford 3 or 4 of us. It's how the league is kept balanced.

It's nice getting goals and assists but helping the team even if you're not notching goals/assists - and getting that all important badge against your profile on the website saying "Title, RPL City - Season 24" is what it's all about. ;)
