Puzzle and Dragons

I can't tell if I'm fucking it up or not. I've got a box full of monsters that seem functionally useless, but look like they'd Enhance or Evo my few gooder monsters. I have a red dragon I Evo'd once, I got a metatron from the initial spin but I can't deploy it (too expensive) and I've got a few others. Do I just feed shit monsters to the better ones based on colour? I feed carbuncles of all colours to a red one because supposedly skills help? I don't have enough coins to do all the fusions I want to do.

I got a five-star water man out of the rare egg machine just now! He costs 17pts to put in my team and is therefore useless to me :)

Also I tried to evolve my original dragon and ended up feeding it three pieces of evo material instead, and haven't managed to pick any more up since. What's worse, it was already at max level...

Is there a benefit to using more than one piece of evo material when evolving a monster? It seems to want to use everything you have when evolving and there is no way that I can see of altering that.

Yes.

Yes.

You'll get coins as you continue. If there's a real problem play the weekend dungeon which only provides coins. Note that if you're gaining less experience on your base monster than you're feeding in coins, that's probably a bad thing. Also note that it's purposefully a grind...

It doesn't. Where it shows 2 or 3 of something on a single card, it only uses one of them. Unless that item appears on multiple cards.

Got one of these. Which does 20k damage for its special move. So all I've done for the past 30 dungeons in a row, is bumble my way to the boss with this primed to go and booooom. It demolishes all in sight.

Just choose a friend with a colour I don't have (as he's a bit pricey to have in the team, so I can only have 3 or 4) and this all seems....a bit easy.

Does it get any more tactical or anything? Have I just got lucky?

Super Sapphire Dragon dungeon up right now for a limited time.

50 stamina though, ouch!

Not everyone gets these dungeons at the same time. Any dungeon that only lasts for an hour (metal/jewel/gold dragon dungeons and pengdra village) have different schedules depending on your user id. Sites like puzzledragonx.com will give you more information about what group you're in and when these dungeons are scheduled for you (the only way to find out is by move your device clock forward and it only works for about a day in advance). Also note that the Super metal/jewel/gold dragon dungeons aren't completely trivial with super gold and metal dragons hitting for 10k a pop and super jewels hitting for a bit less I think. They also have very high defense and too much health to whittle down so you either need a very strong spike damage leader or a monster with a poison or other ability that will break or ignore defense. If you can do them though they're by far the best source of experience.

Yes, Graviton Earth Dragon is part of a series of dragons called Rippers that at one point were considered pretty good, mainly because they have decent stats at level 1 (but they barely improve as they level) but are now considered pretty worthless (although their active has recently been buffed with an orb change ability and they're got an ultimate evo so they might be marginally useful now). At some point you will come to a screeching halt except perhaps in the green dungeons where the 50% damage reduction will help a bit.

A ripper and a monster with a poison ability are very handy for things like metal dragon hunts. Basically stuff where the enemies have low health but very very high defense. I have a light ripper and a lilith for that at the moment.

What am i supposed to do with a TAMADRA?

It 'awakes' a skill in applicable monsters. A monster with skills that can be awoken will have them greyed out in little boxes on the top right on their stats screen.

Debating whether to use my free one on my Firedragon Tyrannos, or waiting to see if I get a better monster down the line.

Be careful what you feed them to. Currently they're really rare (unless you're playing the Japanese version where they give them out like candy) and you can awaken monsters by feeding the same monster to itself so if it's an easily farmable monster it's probably best not to waste a Tamadra on it. Regarding Firedragon Tyrannos, I'd wait. +stat awakenings are really not great. The skills I'd consider really good are Skill Boost and Enhanced Element Attack (the 1 that increases damage when you get a clear a full row of the same color). Enhanced Elements Orbs, Two Pronged Attack aren't bad. Auto Recover, Resistance-Bind, Resistance-Poison and Extend Time can also be situationally very useful. Everything else it pretty much junk.

Fuck this game. Can't play it on my commute

Yeah, it does connect to the net an awful lot, when I have a shit at work I need to make sure get a battle started before I head up. On the plus side, when you do get a connection it just carries on as if nothing happened, even if you leave it for ages.

Worst "I have a job" post ever.

Enjoying this so far - when time is limited it's fun to spend 25 stamina on a dungeon I probably shouldn't be at as a test.

My monster box (60 spaces) is packed with evo materials, and it seems like I'm going to need to keep them if I actually want to evolve anything past the really basic stuff. Any suggestions on how best to manage it, other than buying even more monster box spaces?

*24 Hour Godfest Announcement*

[Duration]: 15/2, 8:00 PM - 16/2, 7:59 PM (UTC)
The Valentine's Day weekend Godfest sees the arrival of the Hero Gods (NEW!) and Angels! As always, this is a great opportunity to use those free Magic Stones we've been giving out!

During the event, the Hero Gods and Angels are 3x as likely to drop from the Rare Egg Machine. This Godfest lasts 24 hours, so don't miss out!

Full list follows:

Hero Gods:
- Yamato Takeru
- Andromeda
- Perseus
- Sun Wukong
- Pandora

Angels:
- Archangel Uriel
- Archangel Gabriel
- Archangel Michael
- Archangel Raphael
- Archangel Lucifer

Sonia, Metatron, and Odin will also be included.
- Red Dragon Caller, Sonia
- Jade Dragon Caller, Sonia
- Archangel Metatron
- Dark Angel Metatron
- Odin
- Odin, the War Deity

I currently have enough for 3 goes on the REM. Is it better to put them in one at a time (in the hope that the first one that comes out is decent and than maybe I'll save the rest until the next one) or do your chances increase if you just feed them all at once?

Certain evo materials you probably want to keep around regardless of how many you have because they're hard to come by and needed for lots: Dub-Mythlits, Rainbow Keepers, Mystic Masks and Dragon Fruit being the main culprits (maybe mythlits too). Everything else you should be able to get pretty easily at least once a week (or any day once you unlock later normal and technical dungeons) so no need to hang onto more than 1, maybe 2 at a time (Tuesday = Keepers, Wednesday = Masks, Thursday = Dragon Plants, Friday = Sprites) unless you know you're going to need them imminently.

edit: as far as I know you can't feed more than once at a time on the REM unless it's different in the EU version. Regardless I'd be very surprised if it makes a difference. There are all kinds of myths and rumours about pull strategies and it's almost certainly all rubbish. Just like all the rumours about if you target a monster in a dungeon, it's more likely to drop. It's been proven that's not the case but people still continue it, it's just confirmation bias.

You can only pull one rare egg at a time anyway.
