Given another eBay listing it seems some are claiming its some returns thing where they send in faulty one and somehow manage to get two back and then they sell the spare... They claim its a one off but maybe there is a scam way of doing it

Either way if i was offered one for £50 I might be tempted but these go for 200 on eBay, think I might prefer a legit one for a few quid more

Pretty amazing all these discounts and promotions to shift more units while pretty much half of Europe can't even buy the console yet. Either a launch in those territories is still far off, or Microsoft is confident it can produce enough units to meet demand when it finally goes on sale.

They said the lack of Kinect voice commands was the reason why they delayed most of the Euro-markets. the last rumour for the Nordic region was Q3 2014, Microsoft either aren't bothered to enter the race, too busy firefighting or supremely confident, you decide.

RE: Halo 2, the reason it outsold the original significantly and kept on selling like it thought it was a game released by Nintendo was the multiplayer, the only part of the package that Bungie have ever managed to improve on from the original. Several classic maps to play, splitscreen and online play to boot, loved playing invisible rockets on the secret level. It was the same with Halo 3, campaign mode was a grab-bag greatest hits homage from the earlier games, it was at least serviceable enough to complete linearly, the online multiplayer was where it shone.

Strip out the game and extra pad, the console is effectively about £270-£300, brand new is effectively about £350-£360 at the moment. If you think that saving is worth it for a mildly used unit, why not. pretty long odds on Microsoft having to slash the price by another £100 within a year.

yep I think i'm going for it. I will keep the second pad and pick up fifa 14, but will sell Ghosts as no interest really so its a decent price. i will then buy titanfall at some stage - KI looks like something I'd love too. Has receipt too so hopefully no issues if it goes wrong. i cant see it reducing down much more to be honest. is it worth sticking my virgin tivo box through it?

It's the latest move by tech companies to seize a piece of the lucrative political ad market. The ads, which would appear on the Xbox Live dashboard and other Microsoft products, combine Microsoft user IDs and other public data to build a profile of Xbox users. Campaigns can then blast ads to selected demographic categories, or to specific congressional districts. And if the campaign brings its own list of voter e-mail addresses, Microsoft can match the additional data with individual customer accounts for even more accurate voter targeting.

MS just treat their customers like complete idiots. And that appears to be the entire design philosophy behind the whole xbox one project. Which is why most of us hate it so much. And no amount of back peddling is gonna fix that.

It's a proper turnaround isn't it? Although I was a massive Wii fan last gen was all about 360 for me when it came to the hardcore console games. It was such a brilliant machine with the best traditional controller ever. I did get a PS3 but it was barely used for a looong time. Nowadays it's PS3 by default (thanks to PS+), my Live sub has long been cancelled and for some reason I want a PS4 despite it having no games. MS done fucked up.

That time may well come if the console gets cheaper, preferably dumps Kinect and has some killer exclusives out which aren't in the online FPS genre. But I don't think there's a chance the Bone will ever become my main console. I'd rather upgrade my PC for the indie and multiplatform stuff, get a PS4 for PS4/console exclusives and maybe multiplatform stuff and won't consider a Bone until it has enough pricedrops and exclusives to make me forget the bad taste it has put in my mouth from its initial unveiling up until today. I've been disappointed about every single aspect of the machine and Microsoft's attitude.
