PlayStation VR

I've mentioned more than a few times that I'm wavering on my pre-order. Having never even tried VR I thought I might as well give it a go before making up my mind. So I ordered Google Cardboard viewer. I know it's not really comparable to PSVR let alone a Vive, but I was actually pretty impressed by the experience as basic as it is. It also cemented that I will never ever play a VR horror game. I downloaded a little game (using that term loosely) that the Google Cardboard app recommended. It was just you in the middle of a room as spooky happening occur around you. Incredibly basic but it was still shit your pants scary. At one point I got up and tirned round to see if it was 360 degrees and there was a creepy girl with her back to me swaying and that was enough for me to nearly throw the viewer across the room. I had to calm down by taking a virtual flight with Pete's Dragon on YouTube.

Er, apologies if I am straying too close to self-promotion again - just thought I'd let you guys know (as we just announced it) that Battlezone's campaign mode can be played co-op with up to four people. Full thing, same functions and features as the single player experience but with buddies :).

EDIT: Oh wait, we have done a video too with stuff in it.

Kiroquai not sure if you are still about, but you just got an amazing preview.

Actual VR is going to blow your fucking socks off then. I've owned a Rift CV1 since June and I still haven't mustered up the courage to play a horror game on it yet. Fuck. That.

Managed to pick up a Thurstmaster T150 for £30 from Currys PC World yesterday. Chuffed!

WTF???!?!? That's great.

I'm almost certain I am buying one after seeing that VR vid of driveclub, along with a stand - ANd unless I manage to track down a bargain somewhere, it's  gonna cost me £180

Yeah, after PC World reduced them down to £50 in September, someone on Hot UK Deals got one on Friday for only £30, so I raced down to Barnsley and managed to grab one.

£50 was a bargain, £30 is ridiculous.

BRING ON DRIVECLUB VR.

For those of you that have a wheel, what are you using as a stand? Just connecting it to a table? Have you bought some cheap storage rack from IKEA? Or something else?

I can't afford one of those huge hydraulic simulator things or a gaming chair, before anyone asks.

Dammit! I was looking at that wheel too.

Ho hum.

It's still worth checking your local store! The deal won't be on the site, but you can pop into any store to see, or ask them to check any other local stores. That's how I found mine.

There must still be others available around the country.

Just a crappy little table at the moment. Trouble is it's just not stable when you get a bit frisky with the wheel.

WIth the money you saved you should get this - http://www.wheelstandpro.com/products/wheel-stand-pro-for-thrustmaster-t300rs--tx--tmx-and-t150-racing-wheels---deluxe-v2

I keep going to buy one myself. Still haven't though. Not sure I can justify it. Waiting to see how VR racing is for me I guess.

I'm on the brink of ordering a wheel stand for my T80.

Would have loved to have picked up a T150 but definitely no stock around my way :(

That looks incredible, but I'm already pushing it with the wife after buying the wheel, let alone a room-consuming seat and stand. Maybe I'll wait a bit.
