No, the Shinra special division comprising of a girl and two guys in trenchcoats and sunglasses that follow you around the whole of FF7. Whenever they turn up, the music changes to the fingerclicking cowboy bebop type music.

^_____^ yeah. I remembered the name but the forum wouldn't load for me. The only people that probably won't be returning are Red XIII and Cait Sith for obvious reasons. But well, who the hell knows why Sephiroph is back.. unless you played Kingdom Hearts ;)

And maybe it's two years after because that's how long it took to get rid of all the weeds ;)

Because he's a family and buggered off. Plus he's too embarassed about the bad FPS named after him to ever show his face again. ;)

Jim, do you agree that those are probably the Turks? Everybody looks a lot more real and less bish, so that womanly person is probably a woman.

It might be some of Don Corneo's lot.

Maybe after the collapse of shinra he took over midgar and started going into mako production.

*Hopes and prays*

Don Corneo, was, well, the don.

;);):) Oh but of course. It would be fine not to have Red XIII and Cait Sith in this, and hopefully no Aeris either. Some kind of resurrection or reappearance would, I feel, be in poor taste.

I don't know since for some reason, this link (the one mentioned earlier I believe) only shows a top banner type picture with some Japanese writing and some spiky blonde hair. From which I should be able to find the full picture, but haven't yet...

Don Corneo, was, well, the don.

He was repulsive, but pretty funny. Particularly if you made the right choices so as to have him pick Cloud... I think we all know what I'm talking about... ;)

I'm intriegued as to how this will turn out. A lot of people wanted a FFVII sequel, so Square are giving them one - just in a form I'm guessing a lot of people wouldn't have guessed.

I would say that it was a good decision to make it into a film. Although I'd like to see what happens to Cloud and co., I don't think I'd be able to trek my way through another 60+ hours of 'game'.

Guest Pandemona

I am skeptical as to whether it will be any good... I mean, yeah, I loved FFVII, but.. does the ending need to be expanded on? Just how many more enemies can be added? (And did anyone else think Sephiroth looked really.. dodgy in the screenshots? Like the one where he is in the fire in Nibelheim)

I've no doubt that the movie will be visually striking, and that the characters will be beautifully designed.

But there'll be no depth there, as per usual. They have turned their hand to movies before, after all, and got their new-age mumbo jumbo exposed for what it is.

Still, Chrono Trigger and Cross are beautiful.

the "girl" with the gunblade thing is the mysterious sephiroth lookalike guy from all the shots who is clearly a major character in the film. in the trailer you see him and cloud fight a lot and then him hold hands with someone in a wheelchair. the wheelchair is a referance to the crippled sephiroth clones from the game i presume, with the wheelchair figure eventually being revealed as a major character from the game who we thought was dead. im betting on it being hojo and the silver guy being ANOTHER sephiroth clone.

i havent had time to look at all those scans but this page. the silver haired guy featured along with movements that look alot like the twins effect in matrix reloaded. in the top left is the picture of the three guys i noticed that there is the silver haired guy plus another person who looks damn similar and the guy who looks like zell. perhaps the two guys who look the same points to yet more sephiroth clones?

most exciting is the fact that in the middle on the right where cloud is fighting the zell guy we can see he is using what looks like ultima weapon ;)

i hope aeris does somehow get resurrected, even though i'd normally say that'd be shit, for the simple reason that some bastard ruined the ending for me before i'd even played it. so i always sat there playing it wondering if there was some way to stop her dying.

What worries me about this whole thing is...well, Squaresoft are some of the worst storytellers in the business.

I disagree wholeheartedly.

I'd love to see a Kingdom Hearts feature made by Disney- with no Square employees allowed anywhere NEAR the scripting.

Made by Disney? Yes, their stories are clearly brilliant.

But there'll be no depth there, as per usual. They have turned their hand to movies before, after all, and got their new-age mumbo jumbo exposed for what it is.

The difference is, that movie was shit. It was nothing even approaching the quality of storytelling that Square are capable of. It was just generic Sci-Fi rubbish with boring characters... and only a teeny tiny hint of their uniqueness to it. But not enough.

Chrono Trigger and Cross are beautiful.

Yes, and also great stories. Clever, certainly, but no better or worse than their others - except for FFX, which I thought had a crappy story.

VI and VII was probably where they peaked.
