Was out the other day tking photos by the river.

I'm just a beginner, and im busy trying to learn using manual focus/shutter speeds etc. I think the best way to do that is to go out and try <_<

And this was me attempting a long exposure with an ND filter in the daytime. Was a bit bright so i couldnt go lower than 1 second or it was getting too bright. Might go back one evening and try out other slower speeds.

I've signed up for a photography module this summer at uni. See what i learn from that :(

Pete, wonderful macro <_<

King Antonius, kudos for experimenting good job! Your camera probably has a good autofocus system though, why not make use of that?

I usually set my camera to Av (i.e aperture priority) and let the camera sort out the rest. I paid a lot of money for it, so I let it do its thing :(

(Of course if manual focus is what you want to do, then by all means go for it of course!)

Sancho, that's wonderful - well done!

Mr Retroid, why not use Nikon's ViewNX? It's free afterall, http://www.nikonusa.com/Find-Your-Nikon/Pr...VNX/ViewNX.html

(Also, your images will load up faster it they´re not in some huge-ass resolution :D)

Too much good stuff over the last few days. - Good stuff everyone. Rundll you pictures are fantastic they really stand out.

Been dying to get out with my new camera but the weather has been crappy.

Been working with macro lighting to try and improve the light. Still experimenting with the diffusers but think I am getting close.

Had a chance to try out the 5D video: cows

Some cold bees

RE : Equipment. I exclusively use a Canon 350d, a 50mm f1.8 and a 17-40 L.

I'm scared that my 350d is going to die at some point soon. I must have reached the shutter actuation limit by now.

That 5D Mkii is crazy, sexy good. To think you can do macro HD video that looks better than old BBC docs <_<

This was the other photo I was thinking of putting in the "yellow" competition

Did I make the right choice?

This thread makes me sad, there's some absolutely awesome pictures in the past couple of pages, I don't think I will ever be able to attain such a standard of quality. Excellent work guys.

Just my personal collection if you know what I mean *wink*wink*nudge*nudge* ;)

I've really started to enjoy this area, human models as it were, and although I'm interested in all areas I find the *Normal Look* rather boring - Really trying to get a fetish project running but it's damn hard.

Just pushing for something which isn't different, yet which is not the norm and something a little bit more interesting.

Poor choice of words? ;)

Final Cut?

Presumably to do with the work for your Uni course?

Yeah, Final Cuts a video editing suite. I'm working on a bit of a stop motion/video combo as my final project. Hand-in for my degree is in a week. I'll have loads to show you all soon.

That's pretty cool, looks like it has a drunks own little world sitting in the top of the bottle.

Awesome, you sure do have a lot of dogs that you can shoot.

Hopefully I'll get some pix of our new dog up sooner rather than later.
