Thanks Merc :coffee:

One more from last weekend in swanage, I have a few more but they are pretty

One from this morning, nice location to have on your doorstep!

did you head to lulworth, dancing ledge or kimmeridge bay? Probably the best photo spots around there... Swanage itself is a bit dull....the sand dunes at studland are pretty cool too... Past kimmeridge you'll end up at Weymouth and the sea spots are pretty crap from there until you hit Lyme Regis

Yeah we went to lulworth which I really struggled with, no good results there and also Kimmeridge bay for this rather nice sunset. It was for a landscape training course\workshop with (it turns out, I didn't realise when signing up) a couple of the pros from Digital SLR mag. Really good trip.

Kimmeridge Bay:

Nice wedding shots by the way, must have been a challenge with such an unusual groom.

Brother got given a 5Dm2 through work (yeah, I've called him a bastard), had a play earlier. Surprised how hard it was to focus with a full frame, don't think I'll be giving up my 50d any time soon but I could notice the step up.

Kimmeridge is all kinds of ace... just a bit of a pain inthe arse to get to, it's only 30 miles down the road, but the roads are shite to get there, and the thought of getting up at 4am to catch sunrise really doesn't appeal to me! I'd like to go at night one day and get a shot of the Folly/lighthouse thing with star trails behind it... when I can be arsed!

The err, "groom" flew down the asile, delivered the rings to the real groom and flew back out again! Not seen that done before... she's been teasing us for a month or so about a "special guest"... my money was on Ray Parker Jnr.... :coffee:

Been away for a week and it looks like I've missed some very good shots.

Pete, what was the one main tip that you learnt from the workshop?

Like the Rally shots. First is indeed a good effort - how do you even do that?

rundll - that's really cool. Do you have any where she's putting a bit more weight on her hands though? Looks a little 'floaty' to me. Assuming the look you were going for isn't one o floating in that position that is!

Some new ones from me:

Main tip .... There was lots of little technical stuff that was useful but the best one was simple: slow down! Take your time setting up one good shot in one location rather than 20 quick shots and moving on.

I've never been completely snap happy but putting extra care into a shoot makes it more satisfying. Doesn't always pay off (I wasted a sunrise trip last week by gambling on a location which didn't work out) but something I will try to stick with!

Awesome work there as usual rundll, good to see you back!

Took a visit to the Imperial War museum in Manchester last weekend, was good, apart from being told off for taking pictures! Apparently you're not allowed to, even though it doesn't say that anywhere. ;)

Bigger version works nicer to see the expression on his face - here
