Well, hats off to them, they've managed to do the complete opposite of the dismal showing of last year and come up with a presentation full of exciting stuff. This is the first time I'm even entertaining the idea of a two console ownership this generation. Loads of great looking games in there. Don't know if it'll be enough to turn the console's fortunes around, but they've put in the work.

That was great. Probably going to buy a WiiU now. Nintendo really do know how to create that feeling of magic that Sony and Microsoft don't.

The new zelda looks very promising, they really do want to make it great again. Miyamoto teasing a new starfox game. That new IP, the squid painting TPS game - well done Nintendo for making a shooting game that actually looks interesting for once. And of course, the smash bros reveals are always very fun and hype building.

Zelda looks lovely graphically but that doesn't speak at all to the game being any more ambitious or less conventional than the last few titles.

I hope they're thinking radical thoughts...

Really? The way they described the open-world nature suggested it'd be really different. As in, it might even change the "get the item in the dungeon and kill the boss in the dungeon with it" mechanic.

One hopes so.
