He disappeared at the end of Ultron and no one knows where he is.

I bet Tony knows! Him and Bruce are way bromantic. Black Widow probably has him on Whatsapp too. I hope the big green guy is doing okay.

I really disliked it the first time I saw it, gave it another shot several years later and while I liked it a bit more I still didn't enjoy it nearly as much as the other films. Perhaps it's a German thing? I know the film is quite popular elsewhere but I think none of my friends here liked it. We're not big on the whole patriotic theme over here, these days

For me it's because the Tony side in the comic Civil War was just fucking idiotic and I can't see it making much more sense here, but I hope it does.

See for me it makes a lot of sense, as Tony's arc through the films have played exactly to the point where he would take the stance he does.  From being a selfish unaware dick at the start of the first, to wanting to protect others in the second, realising in the avengers that there are much bigger threats that he can deal with himself, then in IM3 and AoU wanting to find a way to protect the world from this threat but at the same time deciding what good is that if he can't get away from being Iron Man.  That itself leads to him making Ultron and causing one of the incidents that leads into this. My guess is he's behind it because he realises he fucked up big time and feels he needs to be held accountable as much as anyone else.

My hope is they keep it more neutral than the comic.  Certainly none of that "imprisoning super heroes who don't side with the government" crap or cloning Thor which made it very hard to see anyone other than Caps side as in the right.  I'm hoping we have reason to think maybe Caps wrong (which given that Bucky tries to shoot Tony in the face in the trailer, is possible even if we don't know the context of why just yet).

Yeah, that stuff you mentioned from the comics really was the worst. The registration act itself perhaps wasn't too unreasonable (if that's all it was and stopped literally at that) but everything that came on top of that was just daft in the sense that how could anyone get behind it.

More balance and grey areas on both sides could be pretty good though.

How can you not love this schmuck; I have a massive grin on my face whenever I see it.

Yeah Cap 1 is great, particularly its first half. Jumping on the grenade, the flagpole, Peggy Carter, Howard Stark...

"What's in it?"

"Cow."

"Go get him - I can swim!"

"I don't like bullies."

"I ain't kissin' ya!"

"Berlin is on this map!"
