I'll try and organise a trip up with me Dad (loves pinball) and our Dave.

If I get a date sorted I'll let you know and you can cadge a lift with me while you're just down the road. :)

I'm there this Sat for the pinball and Street Fighter. Let me know which week you're thinking of going and I'll try and attend as well. I'm lucky it's only about 30mins or so from my house.

This was an entertaining evening out.

Sharp reminders of just how fast these games took money off you. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I'm looking at you. Then there's Point Blanks capacity to lead you into a fit with screen flash. *blink blink* 2P Ikaruga gets you killed pretty fast as well.

Highlight was discovering Dynablaster. Stuck to that for a lot of the evening with our Dave, really enjoyable.

What I also liked is the £10 on the door gets you a free snack and refreshment from the the tuck shop. A large brew and Mars is perfect fodder to play Smash TV to.

Will be back.

Yeah, imo, TMNT arcade games were pretty shameless in that respect. I played the original arcade game on Xbox Live some years ago, and was amazed at how cheap the (later) levels were. By the final level, it had hardly anything to do with skill, but everything with pouring coins down the machine.

I've given my Astro City along with an MVS 1 slot and Puzzle Bobble to Arcade Club while I'm in the middle of a major home move and renovation.

They'll look after it for me and the cab can enjoy some love & attention.

Should be getting a staple diet of CAVE shooters.

Visited the arcade club today - what a fantastic place! Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area - it's about a hour drive for me and I'd definitely make the journey again.

Sundays are 12-6 which is more than enough time to take the while place in :)

One game I hadn't seen before which I enjoyed was Space Zap. Simple idea but addictive.

Fucking hell it's like play expo but open all year. I've got to check it out if I'm ever near Bury.

Don't suppose you'll have any plans later on for hosting events? I know the Heart of Gaming hosts fighting game tournaments and they get pretty big attendance.
