Can someone give Andy the bottom half of the map of the UK please.
More seriously, glad it’s going well enough to support a third venue. I just get a bit nervous about them over extending themselves.

If i find it difficult to get to Bury, Blackpool isnt going to be that much different!

Open one down south, it would make a fortune.

Selfishly, I’d love a Midlands venue. I’ve done Bury about 5 times now, and Haslingden once but not managed Leeds yet.
Should sort that out soon though.

There is nothing on Andy's map south of Birmingham other than the words "here be dragons"

Hey guys :)

thank you for your kind words and support over the years(!) if you have any questions....

ask away :)

There’s definitely a resurgence in arcade gaming at the mo. Is it still straightforward enough to get hold of all of the classic machines you want, or is supply becoming more of an issue now?

I'm going to the Leeds one on Sunday for my birthday. Taking my son (7), who is already anticipating it being the best day of his life. We went to a pop-up shop in High Wycombe shopping centre with loads of classic cabs a few months back and he loved it.

Amusement arcades used to be my favourite places in the world - I hope these Arcade Club-style retro arcades proliferate across the country.

Went to the Bury one for my third time on Thursday. Still a great day out but starting to notice a few machines in need of servicing. Chase HQ was virtually unplayable and Star Wars Trilogy has a dodgy joystick. Also the pinball tables were nearly all not working. I guess its mainly cos it was half-term so kids are allowed in....

Pac-Man Battle Royale is a joy though and we spent a good half an hour playing 4 player bishi bashi.

Well worth the visit.

Discusses the challenges of logistics with opening venues in London, but seems there are ambitions to get there one day.

As long as he stops off in Birmingham as he suggests, that's fine.

That's a great interview, I'm so happy for the guy and delighted with what he's achieved. Cheers @Arcade Club, me and my 7-year old went to the Leeds one in Feb and had an amazing time. Running a retro arcade is pretty much my dream job!

Doesn't anyone on here live in the south and have a bunch of arcade cabs knocking about by any chance? We need more of these things!

Good to see Andy doing well. I remember going to the little shop in Haslingden when he first started.

Me too, probably saw you there.

Talk about oaks from acorns. Great to see his hard work paying off. Need to visit a bit more often but life seems to get in the way sometimes.

So we're coming back to the UK tomorrow for our first post-COVID summer visit. Partly because I need to collect a PVM, partly because we need to see my mum after so long, and partly because we want to go to one of the Arcade Clubs. I've been hyping up Arcade Club to my boy for what seems like years now, and we're both dead excited about going. We just booked a B+B in Blackpool so that we have two full days, with one reserved exclusively for the arcade visit.

Only, I just checked their site for the exact location and learned that they're closed Monday-Wednesday, the days we're there. Awesome. :( I can't move the days either. Kind of took that one for granted.
