Update on the 1.02 patch. Got a response from Arrowhead on Facebook:

It was a region distribution problem. Regions have separate qa-approval teams. Europe was fully booked. We want patch out asap and earliest EU was 10th = / But it is coming and we'll look into how it can best be adressed in the future!

So Sony EU seems to be at fault.

Ah, I have the U.S vers of Helldivers. Would explain why it gave me a 'mismatched versions' error when I tried to join HarryBizzle's game earlier, as I downloaded the 1.02 patch yesterday. For what it's worth, it has cleared up a lot of my matchmaking issues.

Been playing this over the weekend with my wife. It's great, great fun and the first game to drag her away from COD in a long time.

Really interested in it's staying power though, how much content does it really have? Will we be playing it in a week? (We are level 8 currently, does anyone know the cap?)

Either way, at £7 each, we've pretty much had our moneys worth already.

I think the rank cap is 25 which should take a good while, i'm 15 after about 18 hours or so.

It's a superb game, especially in co-op and I would not have been disappointed paying £40 for it, the £13 (PS+) price is a bargain.

Yeah, I was surprised by that. So far I've had few, if any, encounters with tedious trolls. Any friendly fire outside of combat felt funny and playful, like when some guy kept using his scythe laser to lightly singe my backside with an occasional, half-second burst.

I can't get to grips with the scythe. It is so slow to sweep across an area, but yet it is slow to charge in pot shots too.

I much prefer the camper and the dropped machine gun.

I've been slowly upgrading it but haven't used it yet. Someone else always has it equipped before I start a mission, so I end up choosing another weapon that compliments the squad/mission better (such as when it's a bug planet and nobody else has a shotgun equipped).

Really enjoying this. Unlocked the APC and it is jokes! Can't wait to see what else you can unlock in this game.

My first experience in the APC was incredible. I managed to Austin Powers it in a narrow rock corridor trying to escape one of those massive bugs, then ran over my two teammates after they got out and tried to run, before Brian Harveying myself against a wall. I like to think I'm a natural.

Well... I died loads during the tutorial and I died loads during the first mission. Which I still haven't done yet.

Is there a time everyone gets on to play this co-op?

I'll be on at 8pm but not had a go yet just downloaded and installed, I'm guessing the tutorial is mandatory ?
