Any idea on how rare the PAL PlayStation of these two are?

X-Men Vs. Street Fighter

+

Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter

They both took me a damn long time to find after i foolishly got rid of them  :(

Not that much... they are really bad conversion... heck there One vs one no tag team play in there at all really, and the animation is awful, it plays bad... the list can go on... thats one of the reason the sega saturn versions of thoes games are desirable.. as there arcade perfect with tag team enabled and Norimo in the latter

Good thing I've got the Saturn versions too :)

Just seems the PlayStation versions are rarer, as the Saturn ones always seem to be on Videogameimports.com

Perhaps Videogameimports.com don't think it's worth stocking the PS1 versions. I've never noticed them being particularly keen on PS1 stuff, except maybe shooters. Obviously, I could be wrong.

I like collecting Playstation games as it's, for me, the easiest collection to extend as there are so many games to be got and there are so many places to pick up PS games!

I have managed to amass these so far...

...but there are still lots I need/want to get. Pang Collection, Tombi, Kula World, Kurushi Final, and Mr Driller spring to mind. B)

Get Castlevania Special Art Book and Music CD edition. It's my most treasured PS1 game :D

You have a few good 'uns there. Notably Devil Dice.

It amazes me that there are any valuable PAL rarities considering the technical inferiority to the NTSC counterparts. I

Well thats because a lot of those driving the PSONE collecting lark are women and those who only want pal stuff - they simply don

twant to mess with us games and machines, they want pal version that plug/load up into a straight vanilla machine and away they go.

Personally I spent my holiday stripping the Us versions of stuff like Devil Dice out of Eb games and then afterwards flogging my UK versions at a nice profit.

When you ebay something like Tombi on pal psone you tend to get a nice letter from the buyer detailing how they've missed owning the game and they are well looking forward to owning it again, it's really very very sweet - in their own way they're as keen and 'core as anyone out there...

Knight Rider (possibly)

Unlimited Saga in mint condition could also keep a good price as most will get mashed up.

Knight Riders asked for by americans so is worth picking up if your a decent trade type person with us connections.

The unlimited saga came with a demo/fan disc that the Americans didn't get so for square fans it'll be of interest.

That said the non pal territories are notorious for not wanting to touch pal games with a 10 foot pole.

I love these threads. There's only one game in this lot that has surprised me:

crazy taxi 3. I have seen many copies of this for <£10 and not bought them.

This weekend I picked up:

Amplitude £9.99 PS2 (still fetching £20+ on ebay despite it being £10 at the Sony shop)

Over the last few weeks I have picked up:

Suikoden II £25 gamestation.

Mario Golf 64 £3 cash generator

Blood omen £5 (sold on ebay £20)

all minty.

I've got over 160 PS1 games, most of them reasonably rare and majority picked up for a couple of quid.

Most profit was £38 on star ocean the second story.

Most percentage profit ever was Sonic pocket adventure. Bought for 47p, sold for £24.

yeah I love these threads

My best profits have been on Icos. Got a minty mint one for £8 last year that I sold on ebay for £52.99...lovely.

PS one wise...one of my best was £2.50 for Devil Dice which I sold for £39.99. I had a cracking result with Streets of Rage 3 on the MD, which cost me £1 and sold for £49.99. All this means I can afford to buy some of the tonne of games I want!

I tend to keep most of what I find, though, only selling the doubles, and then ploughing the money back into games.

Picked up Suikoden II mint condition at GAME for 4.97. Work there anyway so made sure it didnt get written on :D

Got Raiden Project and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo for 4.97 also

Bargain.

The one single thing that I miss about working in Game is the ability to snap up cheap games! I bagged some beauties in the time I was there, mostly my N64 collection.

Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine on N64 did get a very limited PAL release. GAME in Milton Keynes had is at the same time as Paper Mario and Battle for Naboo.

In the States it was through Blockbusters Rental or LucasArts web-site only. although you can get copies from US Ebay reasonably cheaply.

PAL Lords of Thunder on Mega CD is another extremely rare item. I've only ever seen one copy (and to think both me and 213 passed it up :-(

Wow, this has grown pretty quickly.

Alien Soldier - PAL Megadrive - £60+

Gunstar Heroes - PAL MD - £20+

Aargh, I had both of these, in my Megadrive days I was too poor to get games very often so they very often got swapped to get something new (this shop in town was usually fairly reasonable, charging maybe a fiver for a reasonable swap). Never know, they may still have a lot of stuff like this though, they still have a Megadrive section and I doubt many people look at it. They also have a Saturn section, which ranges from reasonable to extortionate.

I remember one Sunday morning I was looking through a box of rather average PS1 titles, and decided there was nothing I wanted, they were all 2 pounds each.

Another forum member will no doubt remember, that he then spots bubble bobble and project raiden, minty fresh - which I had somehow missed.

Check those boxes of crap carefully people

I do this all the time. I look through a whole section and miss something blindingly obvious. I almost did this when I saw Suikoden 2 for £8. I just carried on past it, then about 2 minutes later I clicked and went back.

Many times my GF has spotted games I have missed.

Damnit, that shop in town must be fairly on the ball, went in today and they had a copy of Alien Soldier, marked at £70

Is Shining Wisdom worth much? They had that for £20, also Shining the holy Ark which wasn't priced but I think was £50 last time they had it.

Not a huge amount of rare stuff in my collection.

I believe Bomberman on PSone is about £12-£15...

Not sure how much Dynamite Heady is worth, but it's sitting next to Streets Of rage 2, and Thunderforce 2.

We really should start compiling all our knowledge on a spreadsheet for everyone.....I'll see if I can be arsed to fire up Excel later...

I have a database of all 1000+ items I own and a smaller list of games and their values but they change so much it's hard to keep updating. Most of the values are in my head which means occasionally I mess up.

A very rare PS1 title that hasn't been mentioned is bomberman world. Used to own 2 copies. Sold one for £36 and the other for £20. Haven't seen a copy on the high street for 12 months.
