Obviously it's just going to be a mix between the new Godzilla film and Pacific Rim. Dwayne Johnson will save the day somehow by either a nuke or controlling one of the three monsters.

My bet is on Ralph.

The game was about YOU being a MONSTER and causing mayhem YOURSELF. So it's baffling if they are really making Dwayne the star who you'll root for to kill these big beasts. If the audience are not behind the beasts (intentionally) then it's a real 'screw you' to what Rampage was about. I don't even think the IP is that big is it? Most people won't remember it. If you want The Rock against big wearwolves just make a new IP.

it never ceases to amaze me how many games seem to sell the rights to film adaptation

 

What is surprising is that SpyHunter hasn't got the movie treatment. Classic arcade game with standout use of the iconic Peter Gunn theme and then a series of 3D remakes (one of which featured Dwayne Johnson) plus surely it lends itself to the big screen. Slick spy action with some insane car chases and gadgetry. basically picturing a cross between True Lies and The Transporter.
