Why is DS dependent when no other current online titles are? I mean why is Splatoon 2 not, why is Fornite not, why is Morphies Law not, why is Minecraft not - but DS is?

I’d assume DS uses features in Nintendo’s new service and it’s simpler and cheaper to just wait until it’s launched that try to have two alternate sets of APIs to support for the sake of launching earlier, or to launch without them and patch it in afterwards.

Celeste is miles better.

Honestly I think it's hard to compare them, they're both very different games and both do what they do to a very high standard. They're both essential if you have any interest in computer games at all, so it doesn't really matter which one is 'best'.

End of the day, everybody should buy Iconoclasts.

After a cursory glance, I presume you can only buy joycons in pairs, right?

my left joycon (from soon-after-launch Switch) was always dicky on the connectivity front, but now the stick constantly tracks up even when not touching it, meaning Link walks forward constantly until I pull the stick back down.

Presuming I'll get charged £30 for acni tending repair now, what's the cheapest thing to do?

Mine was doing that so I twatted it down on the table and that fixed it.

No, you can buy singles. They cost around £40 though! And you only seem to be able to get grey ones.

The stick is actually pretty easy to fix though, I'd try that first.

Just come back from an incredibly eye-opening fishing trip and hike through Scotland and realised that spending about four grand on digital Switch games over the past fifteen months is probably a sign of undiagnosed mental health problems. Time to make some serious changes.

I'm going physical.

Is anyone playing Bad North?

I am a bit stuck having just abandoned my first island. I got completely overrun by these giant archers who absolutely ploughed me down, they came by the dozen. How the hell are you supposed to beat them?

@Gotters has been posting about it in the eShop thread and may be able to help.

Is it any good?

I dunno. That's your job.

Reviews suggest it's average-ish with a 71 metacritic: http://www.metacritic.com/game/switch/robonauts

Quote

Robonauts was a fun game with some glaring faults. As a single-player game, it really isn't that strong. The mechanics shine but it lacks a meaty experience to enjoy. Where it makes up for this deficiency is in its multiplayer offerings, which provide a lot of excitement. It changes up the campaign maps in a significant matter as well as offering a fun time anywhere you are. If you are up for that, then Robonauts could be the experience you’re looking for.

Downside : About to do 4 hours of train riding just for a job interview.

Upside : Brand new copy of Toad Treasure Tracker already in the Switch.

Maybe I won't bother going into the actual interview and just play this for an extra hour :P
