Anyone got badnorth. I am tempted by it wondering how it is

There's a quick look on giant bomb. They liked it but it seemed a bit narrow in terms of scope, although thats not necessarily a bad thing in my view. Get it and tell us what you think!!!

Bad North is good but limited. First hour or two is golden. Then it’s a bit repetitive and attritional. But I cheat and quit out rather than suffer permadeath, so perhaps I’m missing half the charm. Not sure it’s worth £13 though.

Gentlemen, I have joined you. Finally got a Switch and BOTW.

MY QUESTIONS:

- Is 1-2 Switch really the nearest we have to a Nintendoland/Wii Sports system-seller for parties?

- Can eShop game codes be bought cheaper online?

- Any recommendations for multiplayer/party games that make the most of the system's abilities?

Mario Party looks MUCH better than 1-2 and is out in five or six weeks..

Welcome.

1. 1-2 Switch is nothing more than a tech demo, don't waste your money. Wait for Mario Party, as suggested.

2. The cheapest way to buy digital games is to change your account region to South Africa or Norway via your account on the Nintendo website (not via the Switch region settings): www.accounts.nintendo.com

N.B. You may need to create an account and link your Switch first.

You can see the price of every game released on every regional eShop here: https://eshop-prices.com/?currency=GBP

3. I can't really, because that's not what I use it for, but I've heard good things about Overcooked and its recent sequel. If you're playing with young children, Kirby Star Allies is a multiplayer platformer which allows for some very mildly creative co-op and is full of little Nintendo surprises and cute ideas, though it's pretty short, basic and easy. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is most probably the best local multiplayer game on the system, and arguably the best MK game ever made. Smash Bros Ultimate will be coming in December and I suspect that will run it pretty close.

Enjoy!

Not sure about making the most of the system's abilities but there's at least one Jackbox Party Pack available on the store.

I'm all Jackboxed up on Steam. Kinda hoping for something that really shines on the switch. Maybe something HD rumble based, or motion based.

I'm playing Cosmic Star Heroine now. It's a great old school RPG that reminds me a lot of Phantasy Star.  I'm only about 5 hours in, but it's holding my interest (something a lot of JRPGs have struggled with) and it's only meant to be about 25 hours long, so it's worth a look if that's your thing.

Makes a change from the likes of final fantasy then.  Borrowed one off someone at work and pretty much gave it straight back when they said "it only gets good after about 20 hours or so", yeah sod that.

I'm not surprised, just looked up the story and it sounds like a rip off of Phantasy Star 2, with main character of the original.

The similarities have definitely piqued my interest though, will put it on the wishlist.

Just on the iOS App Store and see Grid Autosport on there.

Who do I need to blow to make this happen on Switch? Would love it on the system.

Hell a Grid trilogy would be more than welcome.

Presumably calculates the orientation from the two straight line sements you draw with a finger. Smart, but not magical.

This made me laugh. You were expecting something that could not be explained by science as we know it?

Reminded me of that Alan Partridge bit about David Copperfield. "Yes, he claims to have made the Statue of Liberty disappear. But it’s still there. Talking out of his arse."
