Ordered! I don’t know what games to get though. I was utterly useless at Ikaruga on the DC and GC!

Downwell (already brilliant, I loved it on ios and XB) has found what is by far its most suited home yet on my Flipgripped Switch .

Probably the nicest 3rd party accessory I’ve ever bought , it’s perfectly functional and delightfully packaged :)

I got Ring Fit last week. It's great, I've used it four times now and I'm really enjoying it. But that's not what's important right now. What's important is that the game prompted me to set an alarm to remind me to play it again. Which I did, which meant at midday yesterday...

MY HOME BUTTON LIT UP :o

What other secret functions does this magical box of wonders contain, yet to be discovered?

Nothing describes FOMO more than knowing you are shit at shmups ( except resogun , where I think i am forum champion) and will suck at every single one of the Tate games ( except maybe bombjack) yet desperately need a flip grip and full suite of vertical shmups in your life . And are going to press the order button imminently .

This is me.  And I ordered one today. .  Ah well for £17 delivered it will be worth it for pinball games!

I have to confess my sins, I've had to admit defeat with Breath of the Wild. I know it's amazing and I would absolutely obsess with it once I got so far in but there's just too much of it for me to get there. It's the same thing I've had with the previous 3D titles where I'll get so far but eventually be overawed, whereas the 2D games have been more up my street. Traded for Link's Awakening (without spending any actual money, can't believe how much Switch games retain their value)

I would like to be better at BoTW and then finish it, perhaps this month? I feel I am about 10% in. It's a lovely game, but I feel I have to be in the mood for it. Same goes for anything I suppose.

BTW where can I rant about wanting a micro-switched joy con, for all these arcade titles. 90s games are (generally) worse with analogue sticks as the movement is more binary. I want a NGPC type joy con.

But unlike the other 3D games, all of which (bar SS) I've played and given up on before the end, everything after the first 20 minutes is optional. So you can just go and finish the game at any point you want. Too much to do? Don't do it.

I love speed runs of BOTW - there’s one where someone completes it in like 23 hours or something. Now that sounds like a long time but that’s everything all korok seeds, shrines, memories etc. 100% which is just insane. The game itself can be completed start to finish in half an hour.
