I'm normally in bed by half nine so hoping that this is worth staying up for. Not kidding, if this is more than ten minutes of Smash I'm posting my Switch down a grid.

These posts made me feel so much better after I saw the time was 10pm.  It shows how old a lot of us probably are.

I've got my apple watch on actively tracking my heart rate.... just in case.

Did you not get your Vitality Sensor delivered through the post in preparation?

You guys mocked me for days.

You don’t deserve F-Zero and Wave Race!

You will buy Zelda Waggle HD and Tingle’s Dreams FULL PRICE and love them. Or else.

No you made a mockery of yourself for saying loads of stuff that doesn’t actually make any sense.

The problem with Nintendo Directs is that it’s the always the stuff they don’t show we want to know to more about - so they’ll announce a game now which isn’t due until sometime in 2022, and then they’ll announce a game coming out Nov this year in, like, September or even later. It’s what they do.

Of course we did.  You talked rubbish incessantly.

Did anyone actually share even the slightest expectation that F-Zero or Wave Race was coming?

How do I put someone on ignore on mobile?

Three horizontal lines at the top right.

Your account

Ignored users (at the bottom)

Type in their name

ETA you have to click the type of content ignored.  "Posts" is pretty much a given.

So what do we reckon they will actually show?

- Next Smash character and some other update

- AC update and some new item or activity

- Bravely Default 2

- Capcom Arcade Stadium

- Some indie round-up, new G&G remake, that kind of thing.

- Zelda remasters to tie in with the anniversary?

- More Mario stuff after 3D All-Stars 'disappears' from the eShop?

- NMH3?

In terms of big/new stuff, though?

I'm at the point where I expect basically nothing of them so it's hard to predict.

Good shit, 7/8.

No, 8/9.

I got 'I expect nothing' right, as well.

Zero expectations and so the decent stuff they did show was a bonus.

[Re: new Splatoon Being announced in the Direct]

Nah. Not until we get Switch Mk 2 (the SwIItchening)...

Well, that was wrong.

My left joycons are now totally shot, and I need to replace the sticks.

Questions for those who have done it themselves:

- where did you get the replacement sticks?

- is there any discernible difference in quality or feel compared to the originals?

- How much of a bastard is it to do?

Alternatively, how much do Nintendo charge to fix them these days?

Bonus question - do Pro controllers get drift too?

- Amazon

- Not that I noticed, and I’m picky.

- Have a look at the iFixit guide. It’s not too bad. The hardest bit is sliding the tiny connectors into the ports. The parts are pretty small so it needs a bit of dexterity.
