Actually, I think I bought that Zelda Joycon for my daughter when we had to send her official one away to get the drift fixed.
I’ll need to ask her if she still has it!

How good are the NeoGeo ports on Switch? Quite fancy Garou, Pulstar, Last Blade 2 and a Metal Slug game.

A bit late to the party, but Cruisin’ Blast for £20 has to be the bargain of the year?!
So many colours! It’s absolutely stunning on the Oled screen. The short races encourage “one more go”.
It’s more like the SF Rush games / Hydro Thunder etc than the older Cruisin’ games. I love it!

In case anyone is still looking for one.

Mario Golf is still great. My Everybody’s Golf muscle memory means I keep hitting the wrong button to jump to balls target location and I’m rubbish at it now finishing four over par on my first round.

I got excited for a hot minute thinking this was the upgrade for the OLED version but it isn't :(

I thought the flip grip was confirmed to fit the Oled model, it’s just a tiny bit tighter?

In other news, I saw that Quake is reduced to £3.19 so couldn’t help myself, even though I have it on PC. Using the coloured lighting from Quake 64 looks great on the Oled screen. Even the CRT filter isn’t offensive!

Why does no one ever mention that the mushrooms in MK64 have absolutely no effect on the relative speeds of your opponents compared to you? It’s a glaring flaw in the game.

They’re essential for many of the risk/reward glitch short cuts, but it really requires everyone to know what they’re doing for tense racing. So every 12 year old in 1998.

Anyone else picking Switch Sports up this week? Been having a look at the previews and GameSpot seems to be the only one that came away with positive impressions of it. General impressions seem to be that volleyball and football aren't that good. The rest are.

Missed having some Wii sports on the go in the living room, so will definite purchase for me. Saw that they are adding golf later on in the year to.

Yeah, I'm in. My children are 11 and 9 and I'm not sure they've ever played Wii Sports so the concept will be fairly new to them. I reckon my youngest in particular is going to love it. Just have to make sure they don't over-enthusiastically stick their foot through the TV trying to do a volley.

It's disappointing that it looks like a 7/10 game, and absolutely worse than Wii Sports Resort. That had so many fun sports that probably won't get added, dog frisbee, canoodling, archery! Also the bowling has no button for releasing the ball, you just swing 😕

but yeah, obviously day 1, it's Wii sports! Can't wait for golf.

I mean, I guess it’s a sport of sorts. Bit racy for Nintendo though…

Active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members can enjoy the Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion DLC on the Nintendo Switch system at no additional cost. It’s a great way to train up before the Splatoon 3 game launches for Nintendo Switch! Previously only available as a separate purchase, you now can dive into the large-scale, single-player expansion for Splatoon 2 with a paid Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership!

In the Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion DLC you play as Agent 8, an Octoling who awakens without her memories on a dark subway platform. Navigate a mysterious underground test facility in this adventure that spans 80 missions packed with challenges you won’t find in the main game. Escape from these twisted depths, and you’ll be able to join multiplayer matches as your very own Octoling.

I mean, you should already have it but if somehow you don't...

Just bought a second Switch. My wife would like her own ACNH island, and I'm guessing we'll coop at some point so will need a second copy. Can she be on a second island with the same Switch account? Or should she make a new one? I think we've got one more slot left on our family Switch Online sub. Basically, not sure if the same Switch account can be on two different islands on two different copies of the game/switches.

Also, if I remember right, I can log into this Switch myself and share my digital purchases, as long as they're only used on one Switch at any one to be, right?

Console makers all need to get better all this stuff, these are stupid questions in 2022.

OK, as best I can tell from reddit, once a Nintendo Account is used on an ANCH, it can't be used on another island. That aspect is fine, can create a new account for my wife to play on the second Switch. Also, you can do the primary/secondary thing to game share digital purchases. Here's what I'm not sure of - do I , the game and Switch Online rights holder, need to be the one to login to the second Switch first? It sounds stupid but I don't want to, want this device to be 100% hers. I'm guessing if I don't I can't set it to be my secondary or primary Switch? Or, can any signed in Switch Account elect a device to be primary/secondary?

Again, absolute bullshit questions. Just figure out multiple bloody consoles assigned to a family, please. We pay enough for this stuff.
