Nintendo Switch

I am sorry to say, and yes I know I am in the minority within this thread. I really am on the verge of cancelling my pre-order. This is pretty much unprecedented for me.
Every console launch from the Dreamcast on wards I was balls deep!  But with Zelda available on the Wii U I just don't know whether I can justify the cost. With owning a PS4, XBONE, PC, Wii U, countless retro stuff and handhelds, what is the draw of the Switch? Bomberman I have on 360, Disgaea 5 I have on PS4, Zelda Wii U, Isaac I have on PC blah blah blah! HD touch I think could be great but not enough to warrant dipping in on launch day. It's not to say I won't eventually buy it. But for once, maybe I will be sensible and wait until around Xmas when some bundles are knocking about. I'm pretty pissed so if this make no sense sorry.

When you've sobered up a little in the morning you may see sense. Not only can you take a shit whilst playing the new Zelda on switch, but the chicks will love you for doing so. Try popping down to the local cafe with your Wii U controller, you'll feel like an outcast, whilst all the switch people dance about having fun pretending to shave and milk cows.....

Just reading on Gaf a quote from Nintendo about how they aren't ruling out a 3DS successor.

Then why force portability costs into the Switch, you fucking clowns!!!

Because money

And also because Nintendo don't seem to have a clue when it comes to good business sense, which in their case is both a blessing and a curse.

how many models of tablets and phones do Samsung alone make?

Nintendo hints at the possibility of a second, smaller device and for some reason people complain!!!

It is obviously going to be Switch compatible. It should be called microswitch

Because the Switch is expensive and underpowered, due the portable functionality.

Releasing a cheaper portable-only device down the line reduces the desirability of portable functionality in the original console.

But...they may not do it. You're arguing against a possibility.

Back in stock at Nintendo Store.

https://store.nintendo.co.uk/nintendo-switch/consoles.list

Supposedly they are ready for launch day as well. I don't know if i should cancel my Amazon order and order from here instead as you get a two year warranty from Nintendo.

Its neither of those tho, for what it is its both powerful and cheap.

If Nintendo released a more powerful machine than the Pro on March 3rd for £399 you would be complaining it was too expensive and entering a market they have no hope of competing in!

Get both.

Lol. The only thing that makes me want the grey is for the 1% off time when i play it at work or in public. It looks less like a toy and more like a tablet for discreet gaming*

*as discreet as it can be with a large screen and two controllers :P

As I see more of 1 2 Switch, I get more and more tempted to get it day one. Though it was going to be the console, Zelda and a pro controller, so I'd probably have to drop the controller pre-order. I'll most likely stick to original plan and then buy 12Switch a few days later!

If its 1 2 Switch you like then you can cup my balls and milk me. Only £269.99

All this stuff about the Switch being underpowered: I genuinely don't see it. I look at some of the stuff on the WiiU and think it looks better than its bigger brother stuff. And now I can play this stuff on a portable? It's like witchcraft to me.

Yoshi's Woolly World has the best graphics I've ever seen.

Underpowered for 4K/60fps Battlefield, no doubt. Then again what isn't outside of a GTX1080?

Underpowered for pumping out stuff like MK8, Splatoon, Smash, and Arms at 1080/60? Nope.

I don't care about the power so much because if we look at the 3DS with it's super low res screens, it's not important because the games are so good. This will be 720p/1080p, a nice sharp screen and far beyond anything we have seen on a handheld and better than the WiiU as well. The main thing are the games. Although we are being drip fed at the moment i think by the end of the year there will be some really good games on the Switch.

It's mental - I'm not sure what people (and when I say people, I mean Shrew basically) were expecting. I mean I don't think Sony could get a PS4 down to the size of a Switch right now - even without a screen and controllers etc. Yet Nintendo are 'cheap and lazy' for putting together a unit that is the most powerful portable we've ever seen, and includes a couple of very advanced controllers as well. Some people were just never going to be happy.

Unlike me, I'd be happy if Nintendo came in and did a shit on my corn flakes obviously.
