What's the betting Nintendo pull this on release?

I get the feeling they will.

It could sour some of the third party experience on the switch. Some developers may choose not to invest in making an actual Switch version of the game if this does well and rely on their pc sales carrying through to Switch gamers through this. It could hit those who don't have gaming pc's in turn to stream said games, resulting in less 3rd party content for them.

I like the idea but I can see flaws.

Doesn't this whole thing assume that the user has a gaming PC and only wants to play it at home or somewhere with a very good mobile broadband connection... I imagine that's actually quite a small amount of people.

Yes it does.

But if it's coded into the pc game's to track how many people stream to the switch using this app the potential for companies to use this to decide whether or not to create a dedicated Switch version of a game is there is it not?

Generally I'm finding with people I know that own a switch it's a console that was intended to supplement other avenues of gaming, mainly PC & PS4 so the percentage of people who own both I wouldn't think is actually that small currently. But yes to respond to your initial comment, it does assume people own a machine capable of running these games.

That said, how many of your backlog of pc games now run fairly well on a modern laptop? It could prevent further remakes / remasters (that could be a good or bad thing depending on your personal opinion on the current influx of them).

If it does come about what is the potential for us to use E.A. Access, Utomik or geforce now?

You do need to know - you can't finish the first level without knowing. But you'll find out by just looking at stuff.

I paid 30p for it, by the way ;)

I worked it out. On a boss now.

Yes it's basically the same as remote play on the Vita.

I can't see it taking off.

If it is as 'good' as remote play on the Vita it will be useless and not worth bothering with, if its as good as Wii U then it will be amazing except it won't be as good as Wii U as thats a hardware based solution so see point 1 I guess!

I nearly bought Arms today, £50 in Game is mental I thought but its not much cheaper anywhere else esp in impulse buy territory :/

I impulse bought Arms digitally and don't regret it. Despite being rubbish at the game

Is there a way of making the picture come out of the TV but the sound out of the Switch?

Use the headphone socket? I plug my mini amp in that way when using it in my man cave.

Looks great (a but better than that Nyko one)... But I'm totally put off by their inability to spell "Switch"

I saw your twitter post on this but when clicked on it was shocked at the price, it makes the Nintendo one look good value what with it coming with a PSU - it needs to be more like £30 to be a viable option IMO

Plus someone said in your comments it would burn the Switch :o
