I saw your twitter post on this but when clicked on it was shocked at the price, it makes the Nintendo one look good value what with it coming with a PSU - it needs to be more like £30 to be a viable option IMO

Plus someone said in your comments it would burn the Switch :o

This comes with a PSU too.

All this needs a screen protector and treat it like fine china my arse..

Amazing how quickly a relatively expensive bit of tech just becomes something else you own and not that treasured purchase when new, thus far its survived me and two kids with no dock scratches and not a mark on the screen - sofa acts as a great screen wipe ;)

Had my free grey Joycons arrive today - fingers crossed it won't be too long to get my neon ones back too. Now, time to try Arms....

Still no update on my joycons OR my complaint.  I just started a new job and just don't have the mental capacity spare to call them up and shout at them about how shit they are.

It's all rather pointless. You'd still have to carry the Switch around, the mini dock and a PSU, it's not like you can just shove all that in your pocket.

To be fair, I did a whole shed-load of shouting at em! It had a weird letter enclosed saying my grey joycons were repaired and enclosed - I'm actually waiting for my neons to be repaired, so I hope they haven't ballsed that up too...

Also, if the switch is laying on it's back whilst in docked mode, the vents can get covered and it will overheat.

I still kinda hope some wireless solution (hdmi dongle?) will be released in the future - as long as it's lag free.

I've joined the club!

Does anyone know the cheapest place to find Cave Story and I am Setsuna. I seem to be looking at £35 and £45 each respectively which is a little on the high side!

I did the following and i have been playing it for the past few days.

For people after Cave Story physical i just ordered from Amazon US for £23.33 delivered and here's how.....

Step 1] Log into Amazon.com with your UK account.
Step 2] Sign up for the Amazon Prime 30-day free trial.
Step 3] Go to "Account" and cancel it, so you don't forget.
Step 4] Add the game to your basket.
Step 5] Select the cheapest delivery option [9-14 days, tracked].
Step 5] Pay with your card of choice [but beware some cards charge foreign transaction fees].
Step 6] Sit back, relax and know you got a great deal.

I found the instructions on Hot UK deals and it works.

I hope it gets released here too but at that price it's worth it.

But the Switch would need to run in docked mode, draining the power more quickly.

Would it, though? It'd be cool to have something basically just mirror the switch screen's output on the TV. I don't care about it not being 1080p or whatever.

Did you get charged import duty? Amazon used to charge you for import duty and VAT upfront (saved you the bother of having to pay Royal Mail's obscene handling charges) but I can't seem to see that option?

I dond't think so but that was the total charge. They add all that stuff on on the checkout/delivery screen from what i remember. Ordered Shantae from Amazon.com the same way and all the charges you pay for at the time of order as far as i am aware.

Hmm ordered, but the above price possibly includes VAT and charges? Or they've cut the price since. I stated it was a gift mind you so should be below the import duty threshold. Thanks.

Wasn't it around £18 before you get charged on something? I definitely remember seeing a charge for Shantae as it was more expensive.

Either way, it's an awesome game and the instruction manual is such a nice touch. Great artwork and actual useful information! Still need to listen to the mini CD.

Anyone else playing it?

Looked at the email they sent me and they have estimated tax down as zero. So I guess I should be ok. I didn't bother with the Amazon Prime offer, and used Amazon's exchange rate (cheaper than my bank). Came to just under £25, which is good. Thanks again.

VAT

You pay VAT on goods sent from non-European Union (EU) countries and EUspecial territories (eg the Canary Islands) if they’re:

gifts worth more than £39

other goods worth more than £15

Customs Duty

You’ll be charged Customs Duty on gifts and other goods sent from outside the EU if they’re above a certain value.

The value includes:

the price paid for the goods

postage, packaging and insurance

Anything under £135 No charge

Gifts worth £135-£630 2.5%, but rates are lower for some goods

I got my cave story from eBay via videogamesplus for £26 with free postage. They declared 19.99 Canadian Dollars on the packaging. Took just over a week, the delivery estimate was the 20th, arrived yesterday.

The manual and mini CD nearly make up for not getting a BOI physical release with the stickers and manual(playasia messed me about with my order, so I ended up downloading)!
