Boro :(

We've been caught and swallowed.

Not to worry though, the season is very long.

Brighton continue their impressive unbeaten run.

Your lot looked too strong for us at times last night, but your final ball tended to be everyone passing it around for each other instead of anyone shooting.

Draw was probably the fair result, but I think if you'd got a goal we'd have been in trouble, but we are well organised (and very very boring).

Don't think Cardiff will stay in the top 6 as we have no strength in depth nor much about us.

Boro looked like they were missing a striker.

Birmingham were a bunch of divers and cheats when they played us - reading a few comments from fans of other clubs, it hasn't been a one-off.

Reading were the most impressive team we've faced so far. Admittedly Clarets gave them a 2-0 lead, but they shut the game down pretty effectively from there onwards.

Watching the highlights against Forest, Barton looks like the signing of the summer. Still got a nagging feeling it will go wrong somewhere, and Saturdays derby against them would be the usual time.

He is properly weird. He did fairly well for Rotherham, but...Properly weird.

Wednesday are being consistently very mildly better than last season without at any point seeming impressive. It's an odd feeling, I should be happy but "buying" middle-of-the-table feels somehow like the worst combination possible.

Any Reading fans on here? The fans went very quiet after Fulham got it to 4-2.

Mental game today, came back from 2-0 down after we were DREADFUL in the first half. An unbelievable performance in the second gave us the three points but we need to become a bit more consistent. When we're good we're up there with the best in the league but it's just too bloody rare. Need to become a bit more consistent and I think that starts with the manager.

Rumours are Kit has gone already but we'll have to see.

You called it mate but it looked like you were on top for a lot of it.

So I understand.

I was rather upset in Saturday, it's really quite painful being a Wolves fan at the moment. I tried to numb the pain by drinking all the alcohol in East London right after the game and I'm still hung over.

Congratulations on your win.

I haven't been posting in here after every Ipswich home game as I'd be a right moany bastard, but since I'm here ...

Christ it's dull at Portman Road at the moment - there are flashes where it works and I think "Oooooh, that's the system Mick is trying to get us to play". There was one in the otherwise shit and dull game against Cardiff, none against Huddersfield and one when we got the equaliser for 2-2 against Bristol City. We're poor at the back and despite having a pretty good selection of attacking players I don't think Mick knows which ones he wants to play and how he wants them to play. We basically took Freddie Sears, who only had to look at the ball in the first couple of games to score, and have been playing him on the wing, or not playing at all, so we can get Murphy back - and he looks shot to pieces. No idea what's going on there, he had two fantastic opportunities yesterday where he didn't even get a shot off, just took an extra touch or tried to beat his man again. McGoldrick seems to play by virtue of being our best technical player but I'm not sure how he's supposed to fit into the system we're playing (clue - he isn't).

It's just tremendously frustrating and if Bolton is 0-0 on Tuesday then ... I will still continue going because I'm an idiot. It was just all looking so positive after the first few games.

On the plus side I bloody love Pittman - not least because I think I could beat him in a straight sprint.

Say it quietly, but Wednesday have a bit of a run going. Starting to look a little bit like a team and everything. Thrashing Arsenal kinda helped the momentum it has to be said, but beating Forest is always a good feeling.

Exciting game guarenteed at Elland Road tonight.

Leeds have never beaten us since our infamous FA Cup win over them in 2001. They haven't won at home this season and we have kept 4 clean sheets in our last 4 games, but only scored 1 (own goal).

So 1-0 to Leeds or a 4-0 Cardiff win and then we won't score again until January.

IPSWICH ARE GOING UP!

We were all right this evening. Both goals scored from fast breaks and it almost looked at times like everything is falling together.

On a far greater number of occasions we just hoofed it or put it into touch but still - we bloody won!

Murphy looked a lot more like last season, Sears was fantastic and my man crush on Pittman continues unabated.

Interesting timing for Powell to go given a decent result last night, albeit one gained by giving youth a chance and going out with a positive mindset which is very atypical of him.

Sad as he's obviously a great guy and lost £10m worth of talent in the summer without any of the incoming fees being reinvested but the football's been dire and the results not great when all's said and done. I don't have much faith that if he'd been given that money to spend it would've produced anything other than an overly cautious team gaining slightly better results than before, which wouldn't be enough to halt the dramatic slide in attendances and the declining mood around the place.

Can only think we've got someone sounded out and lined up.

Yes, it was against a poor team but it definitely looks like we're putting together better performances than a month ago.

Another win at Rotherham will seal a good week before the latest annoying international break.
