So I am doing it wrong and should I be farming for better weapons, or do I just need to get better?

Some from column A, some from column B. You might just need to hoover up a few more points of Armour, or a couple of stronger weapons, but the main thing is that at this point you don't completely understand the enemies. Hectors are not a huge problem until they are on top of you at which point they become THE problem. Maybe switch to your best Sniper?

Ive said on here before, sorry for the reposts, just he's new, within 1 hour of buying 4.1 I was beating levels on inferno with low health, I get a buzz from the feeling of going somewhere you probably shouldnt be yet.

Yeah, I'm trying to take them out at distance with a rocket launcher. It's only when the fast ones turn up that I get swamped.

Will have a go at some harder levels to pick up some weapons. I'm a bit OCD about progressing games in a linear fashion, so this way of play is quite new for me, which is probably another plus point for the game as a whole.

You should apply your OCD to doing levels 1-10 on easy, normal, hard.  Then try 11-20.

1-88 or whatever will become a slog.

I would forget completionism as well, you have 4 characters to beat 88 levels and that doesnt include DLC. You will never, ever fill in all the little boxes.

Ok great that sounds like good advice, I'll give that a go tonight.

Can someone explain to me if this is possible (on the PS4), and if so, how to do it:

Can I play two player, split screen, over the internet, with someone who doesn't have a copy of the game? I heard this was a pretty standard PS4 feature but I've never tried it.

I've not done it myself but apparently this is possible over SharePlay if you both have PS Plus membership. There is some info at the following link: https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/get-help/help-library/apps---features/share-and-broadcast/share-play-on-ps4-and-how-it-works/
