Yeah blah blah this problem that problem - whatever.

I'll tell you what this does undeniably speak to though: the enormous potential of Metroid. You could do something really, really special with it.

This is so absurdly evocative and it's because Metroid is so distinctive and so ripe with possibilities.

It's pretty obscene that there isn't an ambitious and stunning next-gen Prime (or other) game out yet.

The shots inside the cockpit of the inky dark of space make me think it would be great to add some space exploration in the spaceship.

Oh, I also expected Samus to lick her gun at some point. Dunno where that came from though...

It's amazing how that one act seems to follow her around everywhere. Although in the same way Geoff Keighley is always going to be the Dorito Pope.

All the people responsible for the Prime series left Retro long ago, right?

The last thing anyone wants is a Perfect Dark Zero type situation. I'm not saying a new extremely good Prime game is impossible (before anyone witty chirps up), just that the production might not be so straight-forward.

I don't know, sometimes in the Prime games you'd see Samus' face reflected in the visor and she looked a bit startled or pained at leats.

Maybe pain registers, but I'm sure I read somewhere in-game about the Varia Suit featuring emotional inhibitors in order to keep the host running at peak performance. Or I could have dreamt it.

Either way it's very nerdy, but I'd be disappointed at anything less than that, especially coming from a race on the verge of transcendence.
