Apparently according to some, films are never allowed to be politically incorrect anymore.  Just reading that somehow being non PC is a bad thing.

I enjoyed the film but more I think on it, it is trash compared to the first film.  Green screen everywhere which just makes it look cheap and will age badly.  Pacing is the real issue though.  Doesn't flow as well as the first.

Just watched it today, thought the second half was better than the first, but it was a shadow of the first film. The action setpieces were all over the place, most of the new characters were a total miss. It was just a bit... Meh.

I mostly enjoyed it. 'Action comedy' these days means a crappy superhero film with a few wisecracks, or a Feig-'em-up with Melissa McCarthy (I do love Spy, but it's mostly a comedy). This sequel wasn't as good as the original but it still felt fresh and to me the 2'20" flew by.

It's not perfect - the mid-film killing off left a sour taste in the mouth, barely 30 seconds before that I had said to my wife

Spoiler

"she always gets the shit jobs, they need to do something with her." <_<

Some of the statesman stuff was a bit skewiff too, probably explained by Tatum's scheduling difficulties but doesn't really help when you are trying to make a coherent film. Lastly, 'Take Me Home, Country Roads' needs to fuck off. That John Denver's full of shit.

Despite all that, the whole thing is just still a lot of fun and I'm sure I'll watch it again.
