Booster Gold

There's a Booster Gold movie coming. DC TV guy Greg Berlanti is involved and may direct. It's also written by someone who did some TV Flash. There is no mention of it being linked into the Snyder movies, though I suppose that doesn't mean it won't be.

 

I had to Google who Booster Gold is. Apparently I have seen him in Smallville, but I've forgotten.

Batman V Superman was such a critical success they are by no means having to scrape the barrel and everyone is already aware of who Booster Gold is anyway.

If Berlanti is involved then shouldn't it be part of the Arrowverse and not the DC Movie universe. Seems more suited to the former being a lesser known character.

Booster and Beetle's arcs through the JLI and beyond are more or less my favourite of any DC characters ever. Their clowning around, their never-ending quest to afford a CD player, Ted's coma, the break up, Fat Beetle, the boys back together, the horrific betrayal by Max and how Booster develops from there...all brilliant.

 

Booster's a great concept - huckster travels back in time for easy fame and adulation as a superhero with stolen tech - so hopefully the writers will do something good with it.

On one of Kevin Smith's podcasts he had Andrew Kresiberg on for a lengthy two-parter, and this character featured prominently in the guy's wishlist. I guess his master plan of bringing BG to the screen via TV success has come to fruition.
