0-1 Bayern. Lewandowski pen!

I am praying Bayern knock Madrid out tonight. I'm absolutely bored shitless of Real Madrid winning the CL. Also if Real do go out, then nothing is stopping Atletico from taking it this time ;)

Would be a welcome sight seeing Diego Simeone lift the UCL with Atletico before parting ways.

Two of his goals were offside though (he seems to handle it for the second, even) - and the decision to send Vidal off also looks incorrect, looked like a clean enough tackle to me. Bayern will complain about the officiating and rightly so.

Brighton in the premier league next season then. Do they have much of a chance of staying up or will they be one of those teams that go straight back down?

Depends.  Hughton is a very cautious manager, even in the Championship last season he was content to eke out draws.  I'm not sure Duffy, Murray and Knockaert are Premier League quality (Knockaert is great to watch, but could be a Mahrez of last year, or a Mahrez of this or the season before).  They'll have money, but I can kind of see them doing a bit of a Boro, setting up not to lose and not quite having the ability to score goals.

That isn't a knock on them, as I think they have the right manager and the right setup.  The Premier League is a huge learning curve though on and off the pitch.  Burnley and Hull show that going up for a season, giving it a go and coming down is not necessarily a bad thing because you get a year of experience of the circus throughout the entire organisation.  That is why I'd put money on Boro to bounce back straightaway - they didn't do anything massively wrong, just that the Premier League is incredibly tough.

(I'd also put money on Burnley to drop next season too, unless we strike it very lucky.)

I did think blowing last season would have a harder effect on Brighton than it did, so absolutely credit to them for not hitting the panic button.  I like Hughton a lot, their chairman has spent a lot on his boyhood club and they do a great job in the local community.  Pleased to see them become another club who've journeyed from some very low lows back to the top.

Haven't seen anywhere near enough football this season but I'm not sure what de Gea has done to deserve his place and Antonia Valencia has been a sensation at RB this season so would justify a shout.

Maybe the Burnley defender, Keane is it, could have been in?

He's been superb, but I'm not sure he could dislodge the two named.  In fact, I'd argue that of any players, Tom Heaton deserves the place over De Gea, and I say that as a fan of De Gea.  Personally, I would have gone Heaton, Pickford, Lloris.

Speaking of Keano, he's almost definitely off this summer.  Current favourites are Everton for £30m.  Not bad business for someone we got out of Man Utd for £3.5m just under three seasons ago.  Thanks Louis Van Gaal!

Should just sack off extra time. If you can't decide it in 180 mins then it should just go to penalties. It's what we all want, anyway.

Not only that, it gives the away team an extra 30 mins to get that away goal advantage.

Who would you change?

De Gea -> Courtois

Cahill -> Alderweireld

Walker -> Azpilicueta

And swap Hazard and Mane's position.

Vertonghen has been better than Alderweireld this season.

Yeah it really shouldn't apply in Extra Time.

Although, in terms of excitement it was handy last night that Man Utd would still have lost with a goal against them at the end of ET.

Azpilicueta instead of Cahill and that's probably it, although Dele Alli is basically a forward so putting him in at CM in a 4-4-2 is pushing it a bit.

Sad news about Ehiogu.
