PS How do you join this rllumk PS4 community? I know squat about the community feature of PS4, I don't even know where I would start looking - in the home menu presumably?

It's easy. Sell your PS4, join us on Xbox one. Win. Profit. ;)

You'd be surprised. She wrecks teams and choke points on some maps without the right counter. Mcree is a good way to take her down but oddly enough he's hard to master on console as he's very accuracy dependent.

I play regularly on PS4 - mostly competitive but don't mind a bit of QP or Arcade sometimes. My PSN id is still on the front page but it's grant030372. Feel free to add me and give me a shout if you want to play a few games.

Pharah doesn't work on console I'd have though. She's Quake III the character.

She's lethal on console as well. The Phar-Mercy combo is bloody OP at the moment, she can be a complete asshole to kill. I've never been good at her, but I've lost count of the times we've been wrecked by her.

There is a communities option on the top row of the dashboard, you can either  view friends community or just search for Rllmuk overwatch to find our one. Once a member you can invite community to games or use the events option (another option on the top row of the dashboard) to invite the community to a play session at a particular date and time

Cunting fuck, lost 3 Ranked games in a row thanks to a Hanzo who refused to get on the zone during Overitme, who refused to stay near the payload and another one who ignored the payload and instead solely focused on charging his ultimate and failing to kill anyone with it. I checked the kill notifications when I heard his shouts. 0 kills. 1 loss.

I so wanna like this game, I gave it a go yesterday again for the umptenth time. First game was great fun, two good teams. Next couple of games horrible, played a healer in one where all my teammates rushed into the full enemy team one by one only to be slaughtered in a split second. One would think they would learn after a couple of tries but no, the entire match went on in the same fashion. The next couple of games more or less the same story. The amount of bad players drives me crazy.

So back to Titanfall 2.

Overwatch shines when two good teams go up against each other. Where you are surprised by the opponent and the other way around. Where you keep on your toes because you do not know where that sniper is going to be. Where you keep the opponent on their toes by placing and replacing your turret. Where that effing annoying Tracer is always buzzing around you. Where your team finishes a Reinhardt and the healer before Zarya used her Ult. Where you are being kept alive by a superb healer which makes you feel invincible. Where your team members calls out their Ults and create devastating combos. Etc etc. I can be an exceptionally exhilarating game.

But most of the time one side steamrolls the other.

Finally managed to get a couple of games in other the weekend.

It seems to take an age to find games on the PS4 dumping me in skirmishes whilst it carried on searching.

I tried Orisa and Soldier whatshisface.

Surprisingly I think I enjoyed Soldier thingymabob best of the two.

He seems pretty self sufficient with his dash and healing circle. His ultimate is pretty good for someone like me who's pretty useless at first person shooters.

I even got a couple of 5 kill kill streaks which never happens to me in these sort of games.

Might try a healer next - who's n00b friendly?

Only level 3 so far but enjoying it more than Battlefront.

There is actually a ridiculous amount of depth to this game, which is why I'm still playing it and couldn't be bothered sticking with Titanfall 2 after playing the first game to death. That sort of game is a lot of fun, but the gameplay feels very rinse and repeat. With Overwatch, the sheer number of characters and abilities and how they can all interact makes for some wonderful variety. There will always be idiots who just want to get kills instead of pushing the cart though.

Had a good day in ranked yesterday. Won about 8 games and lost 2. Were a lot of special cases on the enemy teams it seems which helps with the points. Still only up to 2200ish but makes a change to make a decent amount of points in one day (100) - even though on occasion I was only getting 17 or 18 for a win.

Battlefront is rubbish compared to Overwatch. I played Battlefront for a decent amount of time but it's pretty shallow for a shooter with one or two good modes.

Lucio is pretty easy to pick up as a healer. His healing is AoE so you don't need to worry about target healing individual characters - your teammates just need to be in line of sight. He has two 'songs'. One is speed based which is useful for getting people to the point/payload quickly or for getting the edge in a fight and his healing song which is the AoE one. You have a cooldown which allows you to give a little boost to healing or speed from time to time. Other than that, the others are Zenyatta and Mercy. Mercy is the strongest single target healer and Zen is more of an off healer who can also DPS. Maybe try them and see which one you like. I tried Mercy for the first time yesterday and my God she takes some getting used to. Mainly because I had a Genji constantly hunting me down.

Also, I think Lucio is due a major change soon in an upcoming patch which will alter how he plays. Does anyone know if that's due to drop soon? i.e Will it drop with the Kings Row event that's being planned? I have over 200 hours on Lucio and it will take some adjusting to play him differently, although I am kind of excited to see how much more effective he can be. Hopefully in practice he'll work ok and won't need readjusting within a month or so!

You have 4 healers to choose from:

Mercy: Mid range healer who excels as single target healing. Can decide to buff the damage output of a target instead of healing. Has an ability that lets her zip from friendly target to friendly target. Good attack with her pistol that is "hidden" under the right d-pad. Very fragile at close range. Ultimate: resurrect party members.

Lucio: Area of Effect healing. Passively heals every friendly target in a 10 yard and can increase the healing done by using a skill (12 second cool down). Good damage output, good defensive abilities (knock back and wall ride). Can survive close ranged fights. Ultimate: massive increase of HP for all nearby party members that lowers over time.

Ana: Ranged sniper. Has a grande that heals friendly targets and prevents healing for opposing targets. She can sleep opposing targets which can be a life saver. Can survive up close and personal fights, but not with ease. Can heal herself with the grenade. Ultimate: makes a friendly target glow gold and super strong.

Zenyatta: Ranged healer and attacker. Single target healing. Can debuff an opposing target making it much more vulnerable to damage. You do not want to get close to an opposing target as he has no means of survival. Ultimate: moveable Area of Effect "immunity" for your and your nearby team members (you are not immune, but you take much much less damage)

Pro tip: Mercy is a good entry level healer.

Yeah I forgot Ana, even though I've been playing her in QP a fair bit recently. I actually quite like her, she's got a good toolset. I don't know about Mercy being a good entry level healer but I suppose her basic skillset is easy to pick up and use. Her positioning is everything and knowing when to fly away from danger and target switching takes some getting used to.

Her resurrection is game changing though, especially at the lower levels of competitive.

I'd say go Lucio for a healer to start with. You're less likely to get hunted down than a Mercy, and have some survivability on your own with his toolset. His passive buffs aren't too hard to use and your teamates will love you for picking him, especially because of the speed boost to get into the fight quicker. Ana is difficult to play well, and is very accuracy dependent. Zenyatta meanwhile, is not really a very effective healer on his own without very careful micromanagement, and is more about harming the enemy team with the right debuff picks, so takes some getting used to as well.

My sole reason for not recommending Lucio as the first healer to try is the lack in active feedback. With Mercy you know when you heal and the amount your healing does. It is easy to recognise and understand. Lucio's healing is passive and difficult to "read". Also his effectiveness ties in with the location of your team members: if they scatter you are extremely ineffective.

I've got just over 6000 coins. My lowest for any event so far. Must resist purchasing loot boxes. Hopefully the Mercy and Tracer skins are 1000 and then maybe I'll go nuts and get the legendary Genji one for 3000. Everything else can wait. With great Widowmaker skin comes terrible sniping.

Uprising will be an interesting PVE with this line up. Besides Torbjorn's turret, there's not much to keep the hordes at a safe distance. Last time it was Soldier, McCree, Hanzo and Ana. A very different proposition.

In other news, the face of pure evil...

On top of everything else, Lucio 2.0 is here :o

Really? Wow, didn't expect that..

EDIT - Yeah it takes some adjusting to as, despite the fact that his healing has been buffed a bit, the radius has dropped significantly so you almost behave a little like a target healer by running to someone's vicinity to try and heal them. I was playing the new PvE Uprising no limit version and I had to keep trying to stay near a Pharah to heal her. It just means a more active play style and you'll probably see him used more in a deathball/dive comp now.

Also the new event seems fun. I've only completed it on Normal so far but it's great that they're adding content like this to the game.
