Edit: @BennyI think it has to be an attempt to get people interested in OW again. A “patch” probs wouldn’t have gained any attention.

This is getting attention but not for the right reasons. And rightly so, it’s a joke.

So they’ve taken away a game that I paid for and replaced it with pretty much the identical same game for free but doesn’t work?  I’ll have OW1 back please, at least I could get a game on it if I ever wanted to.

On the Xbox everytime you get an achievement you get logged out. Managed one game tonight then in a que of three thousand.

That's got to rank as one of the worst and also stupid bugs I've heard of for a game launch.

The bad press just doesn't matter.

People flock to it. They sit in queues for hours. They encounter unacceptable and frustrating bugs but queue back into it. They (or some of them) casually handed over their phone number to somehow protect the integrity of a fucking game. They spent money on a service that couldn't even get them into a game.

And all from a company who have nothing but form for being shit to everyone in recent times. Real money auction house in Diablo 3. The crazy money of Diablo Immortal. And so on.

Even before we care about the workplace stuff they are our abusers and we invite it. We beg for it. We fucking reward them.

I am so fed up with ranking on this.

I LOVE healer class. I always do amazing as healer class. I played my first 10 games on OW2 the last 2 days and won I think 7/10. Ranked bronze 5. The absolute dirt level.

Ditto ❤️

Apparently a game called valorant has a ranking where to go up based on certain criteria for that role, eg healers get based on how much they heal. Would be much better.

You can have all the pleasure of unlocking all the exact same skins once more via a battlepass that you now have to pay for.

They havnt even changed any of them, modded them slightly. I'm just arguing with ms as to why I want a refund but I'm not holding much hope.

Removing the stun from Brigitte's shield bash probably made some players happy, but it was literally one of the most fun things I enjoyed about playing the character. So that's gone too I guess.

Locking those previously unlocked skins behind the Battle Pass is really very shitty. The game isn't even really a sequel, just a glorified patch that takes your stuff away.

What's even more annoying is that there's zero mention of it in the known issues on their forum.

Removing a hero feels like it's fucked with the balance of payload a lot. Pushing is harder.

It's made everything a bit more frantic and the centre of the action seems to change constantly with there just being the one tank. Having the 2 tanks previously seemed to make combat just always revolve around where they'd decided to set up shop but now there's more manoeuvring going on I feel like.

Well that's me done for the evening I guess, was having a fun match and then suddenly, boom, booted to the login screen. Can't even log back in as it just says "Sorry, we were unable to log you in". Oh look, it needed an update.

Yeah fuck this. Going back to Deathloop.

I think the problem I was finding is I felt a lot more squishy as Zenyatta for example as the numbers game means you're more likely to get picked off as there are fewer other heros to hide behind, and fewer targets for the enemy to pick between. And the requirement for more mobility means heros like him will really suffer. An opposing Cassidy just kept killing me and there was very little I could do about it and felt isolated way more often than in 6v6.

The game literally won't let me log in now though so my chance to explore further is done for tonight regardless

Or maybe defending is harder. Typical Overwatch

I think especially on OW maps it will be harder because is still going  through muscle memory. I play a few game on defence on Gibralter and the team auto set up above the tunnel, which just didn't work with one tank and no shield. But it kept happening, time and again. We'll figure out what works.

On that note though, I'm suspicious the change to 5v5 over 6v6 was because they needed something concrete to point to between ow1 and 2 so they could justify a new game and that was the least stupid option.

It's really bad. One tank is shit. There's so much pressure on that one tank that heroes like Winston and hamster literally have no role at all now, you can't not have a rein or shield hero so these guys have no place in a one hero team.

Surely they sat and discussed the negatives of moving to five but given the state of this im not even sure anymore.

Like you say as healer you just get owned now. As zen if they have an ash, widow or hanzo enjoy getting one shot.

I’m enjoying the more frantic pace at the moment TBH. Why they haven’t included an Overwatch Classic 6v6 mode – even just in Arcade – is the part I don’t get.

Over time wouldn't it obviously just become a broken mess? Changes to heros and the like would surely see it change such that it just didn't work any more. At some point the community would be complaining that it was broken and demand fixes.

I guess they could try to keep it literally as the final state of Overwatch 1 but then you'd just not kill that game instead of having to package two together. And either way it is going to split your player base.

It would seem strange for a tactical game to have a mode that runs counter to its current direction.

If anyone is on PC (no higher than gold or you're too good for me) and wants to group up PinkNinja#2675 :)
