So I just loaded it up - specs wise I have a GTX 1070 that runs at pretty much 2000mhz, i7 4790k and 16gb ram - game installed on ssd.

From the second the game started - it was stuttering every few seconds. Went into options, running at 1080p - turned everything to high, FPS up to 60, FXAA - so still not very demanding. Still stuttering. Wanna know if my system is being weird or if they've done a fucking batman. Don't want to play too much to allow for a full steam refund.

Anyone else tried it? I'll see if I have the latest drivers for GPU

But Gods honest truth Sean Murray said with the 4K power of NEO this game would come alive with all the leafs on all the trees? Surely the PC version can hit 4K without trying given a decent card and add all the leafs you want without breaking sweat? I thought there would be a slider to allocate as many of the leafs as you wished.

edit : At this point I think someone from Sony has their hand up the guys ass making his mouth work for him/them given circumstantial evidence relating to most things he has said (and not said) in the run up to launch:

A technical mess is a technical mess, no matter what platform it is on or how much power you throw at it. Just look at Quantum Break for a similar example

Im confident this will get fixed.  I'm sure Quantum Break is much better now than at launch

Poor example QB is a good game and it's also a loooong way from being technically poor as I'm pretty sure most people working in the rendering industry will tell you. Or digital foundry if that's your flavour.

Okay, I must have played and finished the Wii version by mistake or something hen. My mistake. Explains why it was fuzzy as fuck and every character was leaving so many ghost trails that it looked like everyone was constantly performing Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo super moves. Never mind the additional technical messes that plagued the UWP version.

* To make changes to Graphics Options you have to hold down the mouse button to confirm.

- For Stuttering, make sure to disable V-Sync and remove the 30FPS Cap.
- Force Anisotropic Filtering to x16 into your graphics control panel.
- Set the game to Borderless Window (might help with alt+tab issues)

It was cheaper I might let some stuff slide and watch for a few patches, but at £40 it genuinely is the most expensive PC game I ever purchased - I've rarely ever gone above £30 for a new release and it is usually close to £20. For that premium and not having an optimal day 1 experience isn't acceptable.

Yeah I decided to leave this for now and got a refund before the port was even out as I'm happy to wait for a while whilst the issues are fixed, more stuff is added and the price reduces.  I'm still lookin forward to the game but with me still playing Killing Floor 2/Overwatch/Destiny (amongst others) and Deus Ex Mankind Divided coming out in just over a week I can easily wait.  Sad to see it not being great on release for folks though :(
