A great gaming track a day

Post a great retro gaming track a day (or longer... but not shorter!) Try and stick to just one per post, both to avoid spam and to make you really pick the cream of the crop. Originals preferred. Hopefully we can all pick up a few new favourites. :)

Starting out with a staple classic:

The first PC entry in this list (I only ever played the PC version, so prefer the Adlib Gold soundtrack to the Amiga or Mega CD versions), I've always loved the soundtrack from Cryo's greatest game:

Stéphane Picq - Dune - Spice Opera

(incidentally, while searching that out I found this lovely piece of work https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-Q_UO6Hp7U - blending the different soundcard modes of the soundtrack for the game into one. It works really well, but isn't technically game music as you'd never be able to hear the game this way, and doesn't fit the single track requirement, so I'm not submitting it as the video)

This song really gets me pumped while playing the game, along with violent drumming. EAD Tokyo nailed everyting about this game

Edit" well i forgot what forum i was in/didnt read OP. but this track is so good yall should listen to it anyway.

Dropzone on the NES. Really simple idea, but it manages to get some really, really rich chords out of it. It's one of my all-time favourite game tunes, never get tired of putting this on loop. As someone who makes chip tunes it just makes me want to fire up the tracker and get some big chords going.

Some more PC goodness, a couple of years later than the last I posted, from my favourite series of action adventures:

Philippe Vachey - Little Big Adventure - LBA's Theme

(the next song I pick won't be a French PC game, promise)

So, to complete avoid posting a French PC game, here's a German home computer game instead; the real difficulty here was picking an individual track, as the entire soundtrack is famously incredible. In the end, I'm not even going to claim this as the best track, or even necessarily my favourite - there are so many greats it's impossible to narrow down. But this is one of my favourites, so it'll have to do:

Chris Hülsbeck - Turrican - Level 3-2 (Base Invader)
