Its not my usual type of show but it's just so well written that it's easily one of my favourite shows of the year. 

 

Well worth giving it at least one episode, and it's coming to Channel 4 at some point.

I've been meaning to check this out, after losing my Parenthood fix.

Just seen the pilot. This is exactly what I was looking for in a Parenthood-successor.

I'm glad I'd forgotten about the twist towards the end - I'd read somewhere that one exists, but it caught me completely unexpected just now. I loved that moment when you realize what's happening and how everyone's connected.

Excellent, that's someone else converted. The end of episode 1 was just *so* perfectly written, and it's continued to excel.

The aging make up is pretty awful though. I guess it's due to the budget, but it's really not believable. (I recently watched J. Edgar and their make up was superb)

I think if any other show ended like that it would have been terrible. Just can't be mad at This Is Us when it's as good as that.

I wasn't enjoying this episode as much as some, but the last few minutes were superb and not what I'd expected. 

It's going to be a long wait for series 2.
