Filing this under "shit that should not be". And everyone involved in thinking this was a good idea should be fucking fired.

He’s going to have human eyes isn’t he.

When you can’t even get a good looking silhouette from your design you are lost.

I think this is the first time I've wanted to see what @NEGhas to say about something.

Sadly, NEG has passed away, he saw this image and did a Bill Carradine.

Still hyped for Jim Carrey as Robotnik, which will automatically make it better then any other game to movie adaptation by default.

Oh, and they also got Sonic's arms the wrong colour again.

You know, if that was the least of their problems.

Tim Miller: "Sonic' s normal look wouldn't work in the *real* world." (Paraphrased).

Me, a cynic who spent too long in the Sonic fandom: "Translation. That bit in Sonic 06 where the Princess kissed him would have been hotter is she ran her fingers over his fur & sinewy muscles."

Since when was Sonic *furry*?!

Since *at least* 1993 when Sonic Satam came out and one of the main females characters walked around with her norks out.

Tim Miller is obv totally wrong.

I imagine Sonic could work in a sort of Masters of the Universe meets Chipmunks with a sprinkle of Howard the Duck. So you have Robotnik showing up and kidnapping the world’s animals to turn into an army of robots to take over the world. And Sonic befriends a family whose pet has been kidnapped and goeson a quest to thwart Robotnik’s plans. Some shite like that would be fine.

Well at least we know roughly what Fox McCloud will look like in the Starwing live action film (in cinemas Summer 2022).

I've always naturally assumed that since real hedgehogs have spines, those blue spikes on Sonic are just stylized spines...

I don't think this can be stated enough. Hedgehogs aren't furry.

An actual physical hedgehog in the real world which is a real creature.

It is a real creature that is not furry.

You don’t want this to be a sublime car crash of monumental proportions?

You’ve convinced me.

At first I was like: oh my god wtf my eyes.

But then I was like: absolutely yes.

It’s basically a retelling of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles but with a hedgehog, right? Totally down for that, and a hairy, muscular blue hedgehog. Bring it on.
