one thing of note on the 30 frames per second thing (yes that again). is that people comparing it to other console shooters failed to realise how much more is happening here in terms of simultaneous AI and particle effects in one scene. without a single frame dropped. during the raid yesterday there were bits I could barely see what the fuck was going on. one thing was certain though:

bathers

were being bashed.

Sorry but anyone that really moans about "low" FPS needs to put down their pads and go outside and do something more meaningful with their lives.

As someone who really didn't get on with Destiny (played at launch, reached Venus, gave up), I'm really enjoying this. It seems a lot more involving and I don't feel like I'm aimlessly wandering about with little to no direction. I reached Power level 270 today (thanks to @Scruff for explaining how to increase that efficiently) and have been ducking into some Crucible for the first time which is turning out to be an exercise in frustration. The PvE is wonderful however.

The internet might have this wrong but apparently the clan engram for raid completion has a chance to drop raid gear for all clan members.

That's interesting...

At this rate we can all just sit back and let Gorf & party do all the hard work.

Are the other warlock sub classes better than dawnblade? I kind of hate dawnblade at the moment, flaming sword strikes seem a bit weak, it's hard to aim as the range seems a bit short and floating about in the air doesn't work so well in rooms with ceilings..

Alternating between titan and warlock at the moment and can't really choose what to stick with. Seems a shame you can't try out all the sub classes earlier to help you choose. At the moment the difference mostly feels like floaty jump vs rocket boots.

Dawnblade is ok when you unlock some attunements (including an element of tracking) but it's not my favourite (although it's got a great grenade)

Stormcaller (mechanically) is just the same as D1 - but with 2 attunement paths locking some options behind a binary choice.

Void has a few interesting changes. You can now super charge your grenades (spending super energy) for bonus effects, and one of the attunements is "Devour" foucsed where kills recharge health/abilities. Sadly only really works on adds. Again some perks locked behind attunements (e.g. Bloom). The Super can be charged to a slow tracking ball that explodes into small copies. Space magic everywhere!

Void is most visually spectacular (people know when you get involed :P) but I'm using Arc mainly (largely due to an exotic hat that reduces cool downs...a lot)

Will buy the weapon (sounds like a great boss killer)
Every chuffin Warlock's going to pinch my look now :(

Am I right in thinking the only point in buying the other armor (if I don't have the class) is for completenesS? There's no such thing as Exotic Shards etc, and they can't be used for infusion?

Is it a good idea to break up purples for Legendary shards?

Yes, if it won't decrease your overall power level possibilities and you want a future use for it (infusing or for alts mainly).

Ummm probably yes. There are no exotic shards yet; I dismantled one of mine for science and got a measly shard or two... I think you can infuse with an exotic though.
