Also, that exotic auto rifle you get for pre-ordering Lightfall is the absolute business. It’s a bit like Forerunner in that the exotic perk is mainly that the weapon feels amazing to use - there’s an underslung grenade launcher, but it seems like a sideline to the main event of this beast of a gun. It absolutely rips through people in Crucible (which incidentally also seems much more fun than it was last time I played it).

The toggle to grenade just feels slightly too long that I don't bother using it. It does plough through ads though so hasn't really mattered.

 

It is currently disabled in some content, so maybe a nerf is coming.

 

Edit: Seems to be related to preventing wipes or other exploit in raids and dungeons, and not going to be nerfed according to Reddit thread

For anyone thinking of ordering the Lightfall expansion + season pass on PSN (£79.99), CDKeys now do a £90 top up for £77.99, which is a 13% saving. So you get the expansion for £2 cheaper than the RRP and still have £12 to spend on the PS Store.

It did get (pretty substantially) smaller, but I think Witch Queen undid all of that.

It is.

 

Install size did reduce significantly when Beyond Light released mainly as they cut so much content. Went down to about 80gb on Xbox.

 

However even with removing The Tangled Shore with the release of Witch Queen it appears it’s creeping up again.

 

I suspect it’s only going to get worse with the release of the final two expansions and any subsequent seasonal  content as they’ve confirmed nothing else will

be vaulted!

Really enjoying the Season of Plunder. The armour for this season is the absolute nuts :) The new weapons feel really good - although I'm still abusing Nezrac's Whisper in crucible. The weapon crafting drops look like they've been tweaked a to be a lot better and the new Hunter Arc super is great fun. Was running a legend nightfall and repeatedly managed to get it to stick in the Boss's arse which is wonderful, I don't care what anyone says. Blink is also great - but useless in any activity which needs accurate jumping.

 

Not sure yet about Lightfall - this last few years has had lots of downs but its still so good when it comes to gunplay. There's been 3 new crucible maps IIRC but no gambit ones. Can't help but feel pretty disappointed as we've had what feels like lots vaulted.

 

Still enjoying it though - and as I say for me, this season's armour looks absolutely top notch.

I’m so close to deadeye now. 26/31 but everything I’ve got left is just grinding kills in crucible with weapons o never normally use in there. Got the sidearm and bow medals and I’m saving the shotgun and sniper rifle ones so I don’t end up with anything super depressing to finish it off.

I’m hopeful you’re referring to the one I haven’t properly seen yet, and not the set that has a daft grappling hook stuck to the chest and a malformed helmet with hoop earring and underbite.

And Deadeye is done. The shotgun and sniper kills in crucible were really fun, though I’m not that good at sniping so it’s tanked my KDR. Also earned enough resources and money for outbreak perfected along the way, so that’s another one on my list of catalysts to do.

It drops from strikes/crucible/gambit I think. I got it about five minutes after unlocking the weapon. Some of them seem to drop so quickly and others I’ve been doing the activities they’re supposed to drop from for months with no sign of them. RNG I guess.

Yep, do strikes or crucible (fuck gambit other than for a pinnacle) with the weapon equipped to increase your chances of the catalyst dropping. I think that's how it works. 

 

Saying that, I got the Thunderlord catalyst from a crucible match where I did not have it equipped.

Yeah I’ve not had the weapon equipped on any of the ones I’ve gotten I don’t think.

I hate Gambit but tend to do it weekly - just enough to get pinnacle and/or dust from challenge.
