Omno seems to run at about 15fps at times on the series X. Is it the same for others? It gives me a headache.

Yup. I uninstalled after 10 mins. Not putting up with that nonsense in games anymore.

Played Humankind earlier. Not played a game like this since a few hours of Civ 1 or 2 back in the mid 90s. Told it I was an utter noob, and it’s throwing a tonne of tutorials and tool tips at me. Which is a good thing, as the amount going on boggles my tiny mind. 30+ turns in, and I’ve still not a fucking clue what’s happening, but I’m really enjoying these first few hours all the same. It also looks bloody gorgeous in ultrawide.

Fair enough. I’ll get rid. Several times it failed to register a jump, too, resulting in insta-death in liquid. Onto the next game!

That's a shame, it seems to play well on XBox One and I've enjoyed it so far. The puzzles have hit a bit of a difficulty spike about 5 chapters in but the scenery remains pretty and the gameplay unhurried. Nice one to chip away at in half hour chunks.

The jumps issue is that there is a very small amount of lag between button press and jump and that lead to me falling off the edge of a platform sometimes. Not the end of the world. You learn to compensate and it's a game that doesn't require pixel perfect jumping.   Worth playing.

Just a thought, but are those without performance issues connecting the SX to a 4k display?  I presumed it was trying to render at 4k, despite it being unnecessary.  Not sure if it would just try to do 1080p if it's not connected to a 4k display.

Was awful on my Series X connected to a 4k telly too. Not just 30FPS bad, but chugging and stuttering as if it was trying to display a bazillion giant enemy ants on a humble 360. Instead of a fairly empty and basic small landscape. I have to assume this is patchable.

I tried Omno on the Series X on release day but the frame rate was really off putting and I gave up after 20 mins.

Picked up a Series S yesterday and just gave it a go after reading the comments here; runs flawlessly smooth!

Unless there has been a recent patch then that is certainly odd.

It happens with Halo: MCC as well, although to nowhere near the same degree - the Series X version occasionally has a choppier frame rate than the Xbox One version when you're using the Anniversary graphics.

Mine’s an S on a 4K screen and it’s silky smooth.

I see TSW 2 is now on game pass, and more importantly has a series X patch (and some new dlc).

Guilty pleasure game that for me, similar chillout experience to flight sim but less polished and a bit more of a game. Ran like a dog on PS4 so I'm probably going to dive back in with this X version.

As for Omno, there have been a few undemanding indie games like that running badly on series X, Cris Tales is fixed now but had brutal screen tearing. It's maybe some kind of SDK bug.
