You Suck At Parking is a fun game, giving me Micro Machine vibes. Perfect for quick goes, but also got that replayability factor (and leaderboards) to keep chipping away at scores.

Do you find the controls really poor? I have struggled with it because of the unresponsive feel of the cars. I like the concept though.

I'm in the oposite end of the resposiveness scale, I felt that the cars were a bit too responsive making it hard to not over steer. I'm sure I'll get used to it, mind.

I couldn't bond with You Suck At Parking when I tried the other day, I got the car stuck on the world map bit first time out and the lack of reverse meant I couldn't get it out, had to quit back to the main menu.

Just feels too twitchy to me.

There are games with controls that are tough but you feel you need to get better and it's skill based (say Circuit Superstars recently), then there are those that feel like they're trying to make things hard for you as that's the game. This feels like the latter and I struggle to fight the controls on something now as don't find it fun.

I'll be interested to see how they handle going into standby mode on that thing and then resuming play, whether you have to reconnect to the server each time and how long it takes. I use Xbox Cloud Gaming a lot on the Steam Deck but having to reconnect your session each time you play is a bit of a faff.

That Logitech device is just an Android device. The Android app is pretty much the same as using the web/PC app, with the connection spaceship thingy.

Ah, that's a shame. It would be great if they could somehow find a way to make XCG truly pick up and play, without the spaceship thing. I don't see how they could, though, without keeping you in the cloud for the entire time the console was on standby.

, but this would be way better and cheaper than a steamdeak. Which makes me believe it might be best to order one as soon as you can if you fancy one 😂

It's not *that* much cheaper than a steam deck really.

It might be worth a look if you play a lot of android games, for just streaming I'd suggest the retroid pocket 3 is a better bet, good for emulation anaw.

I've been playing quite a lot of stuff via Xbox Cloud Gaming on my laptop lately, they've really improved it a lot from when I first tried it. I've had sessions where even over wifi the experience has been flawless, I've been playing 60fps stuff like Tinykin and I honestly couldn't tell that it wasn't running natively. It opens up a lot of options for what is very much not a gaming laptop at all generally.

One weird thing though is that I get the occasional session where it looks like it's repeatedly doing some sort of screen wipe - like a redraw of the screen, in a line from top to bottom, with some graphics corruption happening as well. It happens every ten seconds or so and it's very distracting to the point where I'd say it's unplayable, even though there's no stutter or lag or anything, just this visual artifact. Other sessions are perfect though.

Any idea what's causing this? I'm assuming it's something network-related but I've happily played without issues while my son's been playing online on the Xbox and my wife's been on Zoom calls - and I've got a 1GB connection so nothing really ever interferes with anything else on this network. It seems worse in the evening so maybe there is some specific device that's causing it or maybe it's something external that I won't be able to fix.

i have that too sometimes. My connection quality doesn't seem anything to do woth what's happening in the house. I put it down general internet nonsense.

Does the 3 have analogue triggers?

Yes, sorry, I agree, I meant the handling was poor, too responsive.

You could have just used the reset button. Think it’s down on the d-pad

Found it a bit twitchy but got to used to it fairly quickly. I’m not much good though, so better players might find more glaring shortfalls.

I dunno, I think you get used to it. Best I’ve managed is a couple of top-200’s. The problem I have with these games is I can’t just pass the level. I have to do them all with 1 car per space to get the gold stuff. Means the tougher levels are a nightmare.

i've been enjoying the parking game, it's like trials in that you'll have to replay a level over and over to finish it, it gets difficult pretty fast. and like that sort of game can be pretty annoying at times throwing all sorts at you

Spoiler

missiles, cops, bullet patterns, magnets, etc.

. fair play though it is a bit janky sometimes, and the handling, i've mostly gotten used to it and in later levels you will pull off some impressive parking, but it never feels quite right still for me. how you have to drive to levels in the overworld is pretty crap. but yeah overall i like it.

Yeah, I realised this after I’d posted, thought the steam decks were way pricier. Definitely not worth the price compared with the steam deck.

I've just realised that Unsighted is leaving soon. I've been meaning to play that for ages. It's supposed to be a pretty decent Metroidvania. Balls.

I didn’t love it if it’s any consolation.

Not sure why, it just didn’t play as good as it looked in screens. Wasn’t tight enough to control.

Just started Immortality, and I have no idea what is going on. It could be due to the mild migraine I have but was struggling to understand even how the game works.

Can some kind sir summarise what I need to be doing and how the game works?

Maybe try one of the two (maybe 3) threads for the game here. But know that figuring out what you should be doing with the controls it gives you is the game.
