yep - i would've left it at the first line but it seemed rude not to explain :D To bake noodles further

COnsole 1 - I play he does not

Console 2 - He plays I do not - his primary

Console 3 - He plays and I play - My true primary

So if I set Console 2 as my primary we can't multiplay with me on Console 1 and him on Console 3

All three consoles are not in the same house/location :D

Therefore I need gamepass for both of us therefore I am interested in the F&F system :D

Now does anyone know the answer to my actual question :D

You need to the upgrade which unlocks the ability to shoot nets, it comes later in the game (when you unlock Wicket or Rey, can’t remember exactly). That had me head scratching for a while too.

I'm going to let my subscription lapse I think. The value is amazing but I just don't actually spend any time playing GP games because of a lack of time and my favourite games last year not being on gamepass (Elden Ring, Cyberpunk). On top of that the choice stress is killing me, the prospect of not having GP is already making me feel better :D.

I'm subbed for a few years yet using the Gold method and I still think it's a great deal. I played games over Christmas I'd probably never have paid for if they weren't on GP - Exo One, Undertale and Vampire Survivors. And loved them all.

I had a great time with Prodeus, Halo and a few more over the year.

I'm kind of blown away by how good Norco is. It should be up there with Pentiment, Citizen Sleeper and Immortality as 2022's Gamepass visual novel/adventure game darlings but for whatever reason it seems to have completely flown under the radar and doesn't even have its own thread on here.

Great art and music, brilliant sense of atmosphere, superb dialogue, some properly bonkers scenarios/minigames and genuinely really funny. I haven't quite finished it yet so I'm not sure if the story sticks the landing but I loved what I played of it enough to vote for it in my GOTY list anyway. Check it out if you're even remotely a fan of the genre.

I enjoyed Norco, but I think I found the narrative to be a bit slapdash at times and it had trouble pulling together all of its themes, so it didn't quite make my list. I adore the art style and the vibe though and would recommend it for sure. It's only about 5 hours long too.

Can someone with Ultimate please help me understand how I share this with my son. I thought I had it down, but Flight Sim just asked him to "insert the CD", which I assume is just a catch-all license error. We didn't have this trouble with FH5.

So here's what I do to install the games - load up the Xbox app, sign him out, sign me in, install game, sign me out, sign him in. I occasionally get a message about the Xbox up updating the account signed into the Microsoft Store. Anyway, I thought that as all you needed to do, but my son went to play Flight Sim earlier and it asked for the disc, even though it was working fine yesterday. As we were trying to get FS multi player working, my Xbox threw an error that I was already playing this game on a PC. I checked and he was on his own account in both Xbox and Store apps. Maybe lag in back end systems?

Anyway, hoping I have to do nothing now that it's working, but wondered if anyone else has experience of this. We didn't have these issues with FH5 and could play multi player there without problems.

I'm guessing when GPU Friends and Family rolls out to the US I can explicitly share GP with him and this sort of thing will resolve itself.

God damn it! Guess who's the one who just bought this game on Steam so this deal may happen. My son wanted Raft but it didn't have controller support so I bought this for a tenner at the weekend instead just to be nice. Played it too much to get a refund as well

So, multiplayer Flight Simulator is, well, what you make of it I guess.

I think we've exhausted it already, so does anyone have any suggestions for games on both Xbox and PC my 10 year old son and I could play online together? Preferably co-op and ones that make it easy to play together (I think that's what was putting him off in Flight Simulator). We've pretty much rinsed Minecraft and Minecraft dungeons, although we do for up the former occasionally.

We'll stick to Forza for now, easy to stick together in that :) Also I know we could do multiplayer on the same machine but he's enjoying the novelty of us doing it with him on his PC. Oh I guess I could make an account for him on these various F2P ones, too. Nothing too shooty though. We've played the various PvZ a lot.

I assume you've played Sea of Thieves.

No Man's Sky, Grounded and Valheim spring to mind if you like crafting loop games.

So the 'hack' in the first post didn't work for me. Paid £37.99 for Xbox Live and am now paying £10.99 for Game Pass Ultimate.

What gives?

Also, doesn't GPU include Live... so I've effectively spent £37.99 on nothing?

Check the date you start paying monthly.

if you’ve previously subbed it’s a £10.99 that will then convert to the year of GPU afaik

Yes it does... I think you've gone wrong somewhere.

Followed the steps exactly. Got up to upgrading my Live account to include Game Pass, window popped up saying £10.99 a month, no mention of £1 anywhere.
