If I don’t care about losing my friends list and achievements etc can I start a new account and buy 3 years Brazil gold via vpn then switch back to UK and upgrade to ultimate for £1?

So I went to play Halo last night on my PC and it's coming up with this error and I don't know why. It's completely locked me out of halo but I can still play the mountain game I have.

Seeing the same thing here, thought I'd fucked something up switching sandboxes here at home but thankfully not. There's a thread on reddit (no fix yet) so it seems Microsoft are likely moving stuff around on the backend...

Shit. That explains why I've had a lot more porn spam that usual.

Cheers Wahwah, I should not be allowed on the internet

Carrion is available to play now, absolutely loved the first half hour I've played so far

It's pretty good alright, and pretty gross.

Dragon Quest XI S is going to be on X-Box Game Pass, both PC and Console, December 4th.

(It'll also be on PS4 and Steam)

Very happy with this - I held off buying the Steam version because of DQXIS on the switch, and then proceeded to hold off buying DQXIS because... well, I was waiting for a decent discount. Part of Game Pass is a decent discount of sorts, all thing's considered.

Microsoft are doing amazing things for next gen. You can buy a console and then not have nay need to buy any actual games and rely on Game Pass and still have loads to play. You can even just do GP and play it all, both gens via xCloud without needing to get the new console.

This is a complete turn-around from the build up to Xbox One.

My Game Pass subscription says it runs out on 01/05/22. I had it in my head it runs out in January, so is that an American format date, do I have four months more than I thought.

American format I believe. I noticed the same when I added some time.

Absolutely loving GP since I subscribed a month or so ago, and the Showcase last night was very exciting with all the titles GP-bound.

TBH, although I took advantage of the £1 Ultimate deal thing, I would say that even at full price (£10.99 a month I think?) it's ridiculous value for the annual price of about 3 full price games, especially with Project xCloud imminent.

My Gamepass Ultimate has until April left on it.  Pretty sure I'll be going Xbox when the new consoles are out, whats the best/cheapest way to extend it?

I didn't take advantage of the offer, I've been paying full price since the first month, and I barely play my xbox due to time but I still feel like it's a steal of a deal.

Microsoft reward points. Do enough challenges/bing searches etc... and you can pay for your subscription each month.

Otherwise you're locked in and there's no other way of getting it cheaper than to pony up the whole £10.99 per month.

Think of all the other things you could do with that £11.

there are the occasional buy one get one free deals. Reasonable chance of one in the prime day sale that they’d moved to August.

When the standard 6 months Ultimate at 50% off deal pops up - and it's bound to pop up once or twice before the end of the year - stock up until you're set for three years again.

What about the Brazilian 6 months code CDkeys for £29.99? Anyone tried that? I was waiting until the next time TopCashBack have a £2.50 extra cashback deal on and was going to see if I can end up with 6 months for £27.50.

Buy 60 quid of Brazil Gold from CDKeys.   Change the region on your xbox to Brazil and then register the codes.   Voila, 1 year of GamePass ultimate.

Orrrrr

Buy 6 or 12 months of Brazil GamePass Ultimate for £30/£60 from CDkeys and then fire up your VPN on your computer and set your location to brazil.  Go to redeem.microsoft.com and enter the code. Voila done.

I have done this.  It works.

Reminder that grounded launches today. The beta preview was pretty polished so I'm hoping that this is also fairly polished from the off. I can handle a lack of content early on and I suspect that will be the case here especially because the preview was only 30 minutes long. I'm also hoping that it will be ok solo as a lot of the marketting has been co-op focussed.

I was on holiday last week so haven't started carrion yet either.

Nice, I forgot about Grounded's release date, thanks for the reminder.

Hopefully it will scratch the itch of playing Minecraft on PC without paying for the privilege - one of those weird omissions from PC Gamepass despite being a first party title, Forza Motorsport 7 was the same.

The lack of MC on Game Pass is odd. Have they ever discussed why it isn't? I get that it's a massive cash cow but it undermines Game Pass somewhat if it's possible for MS first party titles to sidestep it.
