It's time for the Pre Season Cup!

10PM Town vs Wanderers

10:20PM Wanderers vs Town

 

10PM City vs Athletic

10:20PM Athletic vs City

 

10:40PM Finalist 1 vs Finalist 2

 

(if anyone can think of an alternative format, let me know! I like each team getting three games in the other cup, but want to give each cup an identity..)

League format, top goes through to final, 2&3 go to play off. Gives teams something to play for up until game 3.

Maybe if we started at 9:30 like we used to, but people at the time preferred a 10 start, and 4 games then might be too much? And a team has to wait around for the play off result?

I think people generally prefer the 10 o clock starts as it gives them enough time in the evening to do other things i.e. football doesn't generally finish till lateish etc. 9.30 start wouldn't bother me personally.

 

That would mean 5 games for those that play in the play off and then final? Might be a bit much. Though most teams do play a few practice sessions before we start generally so it's do-able. 

 

I would stick with it as is for now tom and maybe ask for suggestions for the next season or end of season cup?

Yeah 10pm was always the better KO time overall for numbers, especially for example for tonight when there's a Europa Cup match on a few people might be watching. Although I understand that the Cup is less important than the league anyway.

PS. I found the last 3 cups where we had home & away legs in the semi finals, was set up by Tom no less. All had away goals rule...
