Without a doubt the hardest bastard to have officiated a game. Derek took no prisoners. If he was in a particularly bad mood, he'd send off whoever he wanted, booked who he wanted and was generally a prick.

 

He would flip-flop between being a prick to stopping the game for every other challenge or he'd be quite happy let teams kick lumps out of each other and leave his whistle at home, probably with envelopes full of back-handers.

 

Ah Derek, you corrupt bastard. We salute you and your shit-house ways.

 

 

He even has his own Twitter paraody accounts and his influence is clearly registered amongst the community.
