The portability of it would be great I think. I think it's a different physics engine? I may be wrong, thought I read that somewhere but generally meant to be the 'full' game. I'm not holding my breath on that though.

I remember that the demos of FIFA 16 and FIFA 17 were still noticably different in the way the game plays vs the finished release, I won't even bother with the demo. I assume though, for those who downloaded it, that the AI is still mind-dumbing to play against?

 

Also is anyone else getting the early release version? 26th September. I'll be up for Clubs that night if anyone else is about.

The AI destroyed me on World Class. Some great final balls from them. 

 

Everything bar the passing speed is immense here. Ball control is even better with the improved ability to shift between feet. 

First touch range is higher which lets you turn better in control. 

 

It's just a bit fast!

I'm playing on Legendary and the AI is much better than in previous years, for a start you can beat a player with a feint or skill move and it doesn't just play mind numbing safe football to keep possession.

Cool cool, sounds promising about the AI! I enjoyed Career mode last on FIFA 15 I think.

 

I dunno mate, I actually just happen to be getting the Ronaldo edition as that was the one bundled with a PS4 console in the deal I found! I will certainly give FUT a try this version if I'm getting all these free packs each week, especially if I like the game itself.

Have they dumbed down the AI defending then? I hadn't even read anything about that. Hopefully they will have done! Part of why I'm not as good at 16/17 was my tendency to jockey about the place with defenders instead of using contain/team-mate contain all the time... which I know is less effective but it's like hard to shift the habit, ha.

Yeah massively, on 17 you could put the pad down and it was harder for people to score against you than if you were trying to jockey players with your defenders, the top players all defended with midfielders and let the AI do the rest, EA have responded by making the AI in H2H games much more like you were playing on amateur.

I should be! If it’s anything like last year, I’ll likely have FIFA before the 26th too. Should be up for some Clubs that week.

US version still dropping early? Even though it costs me a little more I like to buy the US version to prevent me from buying FUT Packs. :lol: (Buying US FUT packs can be done but it makes it a long winded ball ache which I can never be bothered to do.)
