Managed to get a preorder at smyths. Seems like it keeps popping into stock, worth a refresh or two.

Thank you!  Got one from my nearest store.

Edit: And lucky to get it at 69.99 it seems!

Oh my, just had a cancelled pre order mail from Smyths.

No specific reason given.

If this isn't just mine then I sense a major shit storm coming.

Perhaps because they were a tenner cheaper than everywhere else?  I have one preordered with them too :(

So it is!!

Maybe all the ones that people are getting now are peoples £69.99 ones that they've cancelled .

Did anyone manage to register their interest on the Nintendo store site? it's not working for me.

Mine shows as 69.99 pre order, now the inevitable wait for cancellation :(

I did get to register interest with Nintendo yesterday

When did you put the order in @womble9? I've got an order confirmation for 0945 and no cancellation email as yet.

09:57 .

Have Smyths been taking money from people yet or were the card details just to secure the pre-orders?

Just wondering if it could be caused by a card issue at my end?

Unless they're slowly getting round to everyone, it might be something on your end. It says on my email that no payment has been taken yet, but I guess they run whatever check reserves the payment for future withdrawal immediately?

Thanks for the head up about Smyth's having stock again, reserved at my local.

As lovely as the selection of games is, there's a huge amount of other incredible games that I would of loved to see on it. Just goes to show what a brilliant console it was (my favourite console ever too).

For reasons unknown I'm more excited about this than I have been about any new console since the 360 released. The power of nostalgia I guess.

Who would have thought that we'd see a first party snes game released for the first time in 2017.

Glad I shifted my SNES Club Nintendo controller the other week, surely these are going to be the same thing and will bring the value right down.

Dithered over switching to Smyths earlier as it was cheaper than Amazon. Went back 5 minutes later and the price had gone up to £79.99

It's an awesome selection of games but I'd still gut it without hesitation, replacing games I have little interest in playing in 2017 with these:

- Assault Suit Valken

- Super Aleste

- Demon's Crest

- Pocky & Rocky 2

- Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius

- Wild Guns

- Ninja Warriors Again

- Stunt Race FX

- Live A Live

- Famicom Detective Club part 2

They must be using a superb emulator to be able to make Super FX support a centrepiece of the experience, which is encouraging.

I can't wait to play beautifully upscaled full screen / speed - hopefully with minimal lag - SNES on the big screen and assert total 2-player domination over all who dare challenge me. My old SNES is a stock PAL unit I only ever think about in terms of hardware I have no intention of using again.
