Fair points. I wonder what % of Super Ghouls n' Ghosts players ever get to Level 2...

I used to be able to complete it (once around, not the stupid second go) but I think those days may be gone. It's one of the main reasons I'm getting one of these. I used to think it was imbalanced and the first couple of stages were the hardest but I think it's more likely you just get into some meta-skill-state if you can pass the raft bit!

Oh god, the raft bit!

I used to easily go twice around Ghouls n' Ghosts on the megadrive...

I've played Link To The Past so many times, but I'm not sure if I've ever actually finished it all the way through. This is my Everest now.

Ha!  I finished it for the first time about a month back - the best 16 bit game ever IMHO

Used to love shooters on the SNES... Remember playing Parodius (with Japanese cart converter!) mad mad game that and Super R-Type- although the PAL version suffered from borders and slowdown! - R-Type 3 was great though...  Oh and other things I remember  are the thumb blisters from trying to pull off dragon punches on Street Fighter 2 :D

Looking forward to getting the old thing fired up now... only have Mario Kart though... but its a start... :)

I hope this is a realistic European SNES - with borders and running slower.

From Nintendo UK.

Please note: all games included in the Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Nintendo Entertainment System are the original US 60 Hz releases.

This is an outrage! How will I be able to play Streetfighter when it's faster?!

Apparently that HDMI Mega Drive is using a completely different chipset to the usual ATgames pish, so I'm really, really hoping they've nailed the sound emulation. I would love a HDMI Mega Drive to play the few carts I've got left, also it looks really cool.

They really need to ditch that 85 games clone shit though and just focus on 30 or so proper Sega games.

I still have Super R-Type! :D Yeah slowdown - I remember that.  IIRC Super R-Type was a combination of R-Type and R-Type II, right?

As for Super Mario World, 96 levels :P (or technically-speaking 96 exits or whatever, I remember there was a debate over whether there was 96 levels more than 20 years ago... and i'm not going to get into that again!)

Game upped their in store deposit to £50.

Why would anyone ever use their shops when they could just use their website?

You're implying that Game has a usable website.

Website is OOS but the stores have stock allocations so I went in and preordered. That's a great thing about doing it in store they can tell you if they have enough for you to be guaranteed to get it. Online as some people have already witnessed you can get your order cancelled.

I've started ALTTP so many times (all emulated on PC or my old Xperia Play phone) but don't think I've ever got further than doing one dungeon. Hopefully with the Snes mini  (should I get it) I'll finally advance further and finish it. Then again I'll still probably be playing BoTW come September and nothing else will be getting a look in.

IIRC the manual/box stated 96 levels but that's actually the number of exits and there's "only" around 70 actual levels. But each one is amazing platforming mastery so that's fine.

Didn't the Nintendo Store (i.e Zavvi) fuck up some people's Switch orders? I remember thinking I'd never order from them after hearing some bad stories on here about the Switch launch and their shitty customer service. Although I guess the SNES Mini isn't as much of a thing you'll definitely want on launch day compared to the Switch.
