Apologies for the delay folks, beginning from this week I'll set the deadline to be 6pm on Sunday Evenings. That should be enough time for me to palm off the missus for half an hour to update things and give people notice ahead of subsequent tournaments. Is there any other feedback you would like to give? I'm happy to make adjustments to suit.

Congrats to @ChewMagma on winning RGA Tour 1 and have therefore qualified for the MUK Masters in 3 weeks time. @bradigor and @spanx - please arrange a time between now and Sunday to play your game in a Sudden Death format using the rules from the first round. If the game isn't played by then, I'll flip a coin next week. Feel free to continue taking part in the future Tours, though your position will be deferred to the next player if you finish in the top two again.

Commiserations to @DC LEMON and @Theholyhogg who improved their scores so much, they took themselves out of contention for this round.

Anyway, the first post and spreadsheet has been updated - RGA Tour 2 is Live!

Cheers @smithstock you are putting in a ton of work on this and it is much appreciated! Well played everyone.

So just to confirm my qualification is now assured for MUKM so I can focus on improving my handicap in the Ladder rather than the RGA rounss?

For personal satisfaction, I want to post some good scores in the remaining rounds but is there any advantage for me to get better scores in the remaining rounds now I have qualified?

Do we have a specific date yet for MUKM so I can get it in the diary?

Got a respectable -8

Last place

Not doing any more till the handicap is a bit more fair no way can I beat someone with - 6 before we tee off :coffee:

Yup the handicap needs some work . Don't get me wrong it's a great effort by @smithstock but unless everyone posts scores for all courses it's not going to be an accurate handicap, which is evidenced from the last two events .

I fear you an I have spurred each other on make it impossible for us to actually win :D

Fair enough @Theholyhogg and @PeteBrant - the people have spoken. I'll activate the fudge factor* to reign the handicaps in until more scores are posted.

* Does not affect RGA Tour 1 Standings

@ChewMagma The tentative date for the MUK Masters is Monday 9th October at 21:00 (9pm). This is the day after the fourth round of the RGA Tour. Your place in the tournament will not be affected, however, whatever handicap you have by then will be used for that tournament.

I’ll fiddle with it in the meantime (it’s easier) but point taken, with enough data it could be more beneficial.

My plan was to add a handicap of 1 (for 18s) everytime some wins the MUK Masters, that’s why I’ve added that column on the spreadsheet. In addition, I currently exclude all of the “0” scores because I assume those players have yet to add one - if I include all of those values it will automatically deflate too.

I’ll keep tabs on it and adjust where necessary.

Just a suggestion but going from the weekly scores seem to make sense to me . Everyone will be trying and it's a true reflection . You take the highest gross score as handicap 0 and then add one for every shot back from there . . That way you won't have someone that has shot a -12 the previous week starting on a -6 handicap the next.

You bunch of cheeky bastards! Some great scores already in RGA2.

Love the extra tension when playing these tournaments, knowing each poor shot is a bodyblow to positioning well on the leaderboard. I don't play much other than single-player games, but this is a community I can get well on board with :)
