Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Twice = Sequel.

Shadows = Shadows of Yharnam boss & cosmic horror 'other side of light/existence'.

Die = Justifies why there can be a sequel when the baddies already died once.

Font is Bloodborne-y. Sound effects are creaking wooden stagecoach-y (BB). Blood being squeezed out on some Victorian doner kebab thing. Bones used as tools. The lighting.

It's either BB2 or not a very drastic departure.

Only things that make me think twice:

The music sounds vaguely Arabic/Egyptian. Some of the writing looks like Chinese calligraphy. I can only read a bit of simplified Chinese but I have some texts and paintings which have a similarly loose vertical script. Some of it looks like squiggles and some looks like characters. Glad I stayed up to lose my mind.

Maybe its a similar thing to Demons/Dark Souls where they want to do a sequel to the first game but don't want to tie it to one console because the original is exclusive. So they change it enough to be a standalone in its own right.

So what the fuck was that, exactly? Looked like some kind of bone with some (terrifying sounding) tightening cables running down the side of it.

Music sounded vaguely Japanese to me.

If it is to Bloodborne what Dark Souls was to Demon's, oh my! :wub: similar,  but not directly related,  would suit me just fine.

Please let it come to Switch...

Aye, my money's on this too. The faintly Japanese script on the parchment suggests this as well.

This please!

Rikimaru died and returned. There are also two shadows, him and Ayame.

But it's most likely another Souls

If that was the case then it would make better sense to call it Shadowborne.
